The role entails leading strategic growth initiatives with institutional partners, onboarding clients, managing relationships, and collaborating internally to enhance product offerings while navigating compliance.
Veda Tech Labs is an innovative software development and DeFi strategy firm focused on building advanced financial infrastructure for decentralized ecosystems. We specialize in trading technologies, yield optimization, and strategic partnerships in the DeFi space.
Veda Tech Labs is looking for a results-driven Institutional Business Developer to lead strategic growth initiatives with institutional partners. This role is ideal for someone with deep institutional credibility—someone who can sit across from a fund manager, family office, or bank and speak their language, while also navigating DeFi, compliance, and the evolving crypto regulatory landscape with confidence. You’ll be responsible for driving adoption of Veda’s on-chain infrastructure through thoughtful, compliant, and high-value partnerships. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, legal, strategy, and leadership to shape offerings that meet institutional needs and expand our market footprint. This role requires someone comfortable operating at the intersection of traditional finance and crypto—equally adept at navigating long sales cycles, structuring complex deals, and managing nuanced compliance considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and onboard institutional clients and strategic partners
- Develop and manage a pipeline across asset managers, custodians, centralized exchanges, and on-chain protocols
- Own relationships end-to-end—from origination through legal structuring, compliance review, negotiation, and integration
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor product offerings that meet the needs of sophisticated financial clients
- Conduct market and regulatory research to inform strategy and anticipate institutional trends
- Represent Veda at industry events, conferences, and in direct outreach
- Maintain CRM systems and report on BD performance and KPIs
Qualifications
- 5+ years in institutional business development, partnerships, or sales (tradfi, fintech, or crypto-native)
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and sell into financial institutions, family offices, or asset managers
- Deep understanding of crypto and DeFi primitives (stablecoins, vaults, cross-chain systems, governance)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks in crypto—KYC/AML, regulatory risk, legal structuring of on-chain partnerships
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable operating in a startup environment with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong communication and presentation skills; capable of translating technical products into client-friendly narratives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DAO governance or protocol-level business development
- Prior work with institutional crypto custody, structured products, or digital asset compliance/legal teams
- Comfort working closely with legal counsel on partnership agreements, regulatory considerations, or fund structures
We’re a small, tight-knit team building the infrastructure that powers a new generation of financial products - on-chain, composable, and accessible to anyone. We believe the full potential of DeFi is still ahead of us, and we’re here to help unlock it.
We also believe that great work comes from people who feel trusted, supported, and aligned with the mission. Here’s how we try to make that happen:
Health Coverage
We offer medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees. For international contractors, we work closely to ensure access to appropriate local or global health coverage.
Flexible Time Off
We don’t track vacation days. Take the time you need to rest and recharge—we trust you to manage your schedule.
Remote-First by Design
Our team spans time zones and geographies. We work async, with a focus on autonomy over micromanagement.
Parental Leave
Paid leave is available for new parents, whether you’re the primary or secondary caregiver.
Learning & Development
We offer stipends to support ongoing learning - whether it’s a course, a conference, or something else that helps you grow.
We’re not here to build just another crypto project. We’re here to make DeFi usable, scalable, and meaningful. If that excites you, and you want to work with a group of people who care deeply about what they’re building - we’d love to talk to you.
