THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is currently seeking a motivated and proactive Mid-Level Multimedia Designer with strong design sense and attention to detail to join our dynamic team. This fully in-person role is ideal for a designer with solid experience in graphic design, branding, and print production, looking to further develop their expertise. The successful candidate will work closely with senior designers, art directors, and cross-functional teams to create visually compelling designs that align with brand identity and project objectives. Responsibilities include designing campaign deliverables, ensuring consistency across formats, and developing effective design solutions. We are looking for a passionate designer eager to grow and contribute to a high-impact creative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create high-quality multimedia content, including graphics, illustrations, and print materials, to support marketing and branding initiatives.

  • Ensure all visual assets follow brand guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and impactful identity across platforms.

  • Develop print-ready designs for flyers, packaging, posters, and marketing collateral, ensuring precision in layout, color, and typography.

  • Design engaging visuals for websites, online campaigns, presentations, and interactive media in collaboration with teams.

  • Manage multimedia projects from concept to completion, meeting deadlines and aligning with project goals.

  • Work closely with creative leads, art directors, senior designers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality execution of design projects.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing innovative design ideas and leveraging expertise in visual storytelling.

  • Apply strong design techniques, typography, and color theory to create effective and engaging layouts.

  • Perform cropping, resizing, retouching, and color adjustments to enhance design quality.

  • Implement updates and modifications to existing designs based on feedback and project requirements.

  • Maintain organized design files with proper version control for team accessibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in multimedia design, graphic design, branding, print, or related fields.

  • A degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will be considered.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with strong knowledge of design principles, layout, and typography.

  • Strong creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop unique design concepts that effectively communicate messages.

  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand guidelines.

  • Understanding of printing techniques, color management, and pre-press requirements.

  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and project needs.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing design capabilities, creativity, and technical skills.

  • Bonus Skills: Experience in 3D modeling, illustration, photo retouching, manipulation, and compositing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments.

  • Must be willing to travel to work events during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines. 

  • Must be able to work in open concept office space

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 - 85,000.00 USD

Please note that the compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the California Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements Law. It is estimated based on what a successful California applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in California or perform the position from California. Similar positions located outside of California will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Insomniac takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.

$64,000.00 USD - $80,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
