Overview of the Role
- The Alberton’s Insights Manager will champion the development and maintenance of the go-to-market analytics designed to support, track, and grow core and new product initiatives for all sales divisions. The position will lead a team of analysts for category reviews, sell story development and client business reviews. This position will manage a multitude of analytics requests across the organization, managing people and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. As a leader, the Insights Manager will help develop pillar strategy, tools and category analysts to drive productivity and effectiveness as well as optimize the full analytics process from data to insights to recommendations and action.
- Fully remote, if local to Boise, ID would observe a hybrid schedule
- Salary range $90,000 - $100,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills

What You’ll Do at C.A. Carlin
- Coach and develop a team of analysts to Implement category management strategy aligned with the gold standard merchandising vision
- Develop and deliver account presentations relative to new items and optimized assortment
- Drive proficiency in the analytical tools and resources across the team
- Analyze shopper and consumer information and develop recommended actions based on insights
- Develop fact-based category/business reviews and business analysis
- Improve methodology related to reporting, analysis, identifying distribution voids and quantifying opportunity gaps
- Utilize distributor, syndicated, and consumer research to develop fact- based category/business reviews and selling stories
- Use customer data to perform analysis and compile reports to assist the sales team in understanding business trends
- Conduct post-promotional analysis to help sales optimize go-forward promotional planning
- Present business reviews to clients, clearly articulating trends and recommendations to optimize strategic planning and selling efforts
- Maintain strong communication links with internal and external partners
What You Should Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5-7 years CPG industry sales and category management experience
- Experience identifying resource needs and mentoring team members for success
- Well-honed analytical skills with strong organizational, communication and time management skills
- Proficiency in syndicated data, selling story creation and category management principals
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Advanced communications skills, ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise manner
- Ability to work successfully with a variety of functional areas and personalities
- A proven record of leading, developing and motivating analysts and teams
- A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with focus on meeting deadlines
You Will Stand Out if You Have
- Extensive experience using syndicated data - Nielsen, Circana (IRI), SPINS
- Experience working with Albertsons
- Experience working with Shopper360 data
- Ability to interpret the data sets and present the results in a way that tells the ‘story’ of the data to a non-analyst audience
