You will make an impact:

The Inside Sales Team Lead will be responsible for leading, driving and managing the generation of new sales opportunities using all available means (not limited to web, telephone, email, data sources, online communities, AI, conference attendance etc.) to support the global mid-market business development team.   Activities include new account development, promotion of specific business development incentives and attainment of sales goals.  The account executive will support the global mid-market BD and marketing teams in the development of a sophisticated and repeatable lead generation, nurturing and handoff process which results in mid-market business development receiving a steady flow of well-qualified leads.  This role will play a critical part in supporting the global mid-market sales team to achieve revenue goals and enhance overall growth of mid-market sales and securing new client logos.

Your day to day:

  • Lead Management & Prospecting
    • Engage with inbound and outbound leads through all available means -- phone, email, social channels and meetings
    • Creating automated flows using AI and other tools to generate pipeline
    • Qualify prospects/opportunities by understanding client needs, budgets, decision makers and competition, in line with the experience, competencies and solutions of the company
    • Drives RFP pipeline and hit rates through lead generation, pipeline development, and territory management
  • Sales Cycle Execution
    • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer pain points, goals and decision-making processes
    • Deliver tailored product information highlighting SaaS value and ROI
    • Manage pipeline and all activity in CRM and maintain accurate sales forecasts
  • Collaboration & Growth
    • Partner with BD on lead handoff and follow up
    • Serve as a resource for this role within the company to develop and execute innovative approaches to lead generation
    • Contributes actively to meeting sales targets established by the company
    • Interacts regularly with the BD Directors; participates in internal teleconferences and meetings, and provides concise, current status updates.
    • In partnership with the BD group, is responsible for driving the completeness and accuracy of the contact list in CRM
    • Supports marketing initiatives including conferences by scheduling meetings and managing follow-up items
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of proven experience in inside sales, account executive, business development or a similar role in a SAAS or technology environment preferred
  • Experience in the Life Sciences/Clinical Trial industry is a must
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed quota
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the clinical trial industry/SaaS, the company, and functional areas in order to strategically generate leads
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure professional interactions with internal and external clients
  • Excellent organization and time management skills in prioritizing daily activities and responsibilities with focus on target
  • Self-motivated, results orientated and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate with various internal departments
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com and other innovative sales technologies such as Gong, HubSpot, Microsoft Office suite etc
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • SaaS, Data Management, AI Automation, preferred
