Job Summary
Nidec Elevator Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. As a member of the Sales Engineering Team, the Inside Sales Engineer will develop a strong understanding of our traction product and engineering processes to design and estimate elevator packages to meet the needs of consultants, architects, and elevator contractors.Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong business relationships with customers via meeting bid dates and providing technical product knowledge to develop and grow assigned accounts.
- Review and interpret project specific specifications and drawings.
- Interact with customers and venders via the phone and/or email to generate proposals.
- Generate accurate proposals and present those proposals to elevator contractors.
- Provide technical advice on how Nidec Elevator’s products, services, and capabilities could best satisfy our customers’ needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer in detailing their needs to internal departments.
- Support daily inquiries regarding product orders, quotations, and overall business support.
- Work with the customer and our engineering department throughout the project to determine costs associated with design changes.
- Understand business processes and make proactive decisions to effectively solve customer issues and increase likelihood of future sales
- Identify and drive corrective actions and improvement projects that will raise customer satisfaction levels.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background. Associate’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent communications skills (verbal, written and spoken).
- Willingness to assist customers in solving problems and following up on questions and issues
- Energetic and enthusiastic individual that wants to learn and grow with the company.
- Analytical and structured thinking with the ability to understand customers’ requests and find resources within Canton Elevator to meet their needs.
- Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure as well as adjust priorities and strategies in relation to current business conditions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to understand Nidec Elevator’s full range of products and capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of, and maintain progress on, multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Auto-Cad 2D & SolidWorks experience preferred.
