Relevant du responsable, Performance sur le terrain, ce poste implique une petite équipe d'ingénieurs de terrain desservant la région Est. En tant qu'ingénieur de service sur le terrain, vous apporterez un soutien sur site aux concessionnaires pour résoudre les problèmes techniques des véhicules. De plus, et au besoin, vous assisterez nos services d'ingénierie et juridique en effectuant des enquêtes techniques et de sécurité, en téléchargeant les données des coussins gonflables et en représentant GM lors de procédures judiciaires en tant qu'expert technique.
Fort d'un excellent esprit d'équipe, vous travaillerez à distance avec l'équipe d'ingénierie de service sur le terrain canadienne et les équipes interfonctionnelles du Canada et des États-Unis pour diagnostiquer et résoudre les problèmes des véhicules.
Une expérience des environnements techniques des concessionnaires, des compétences en diagnostic de véhicules et une volonté d'être à la pointe des outils et méthodes de diagnostic sont essentielles pour ce poste.
Compétences et expérience requises :
  • Excellentes compétences et expérience en diagnostic automobile
  • Expérience avec les outils de diagnostic GM (MDI, GDS, Scopes, etc.)
  • Vaste connaissance des systèmes automobiles, notamment l'électricité, le groupe motopropulseur et le châssis
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, en relations interpersonnelles et en leadership

Remote - This role is categorized as remote. This means the successful candidate may be based anywhere in Canada and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.
Reporting to the Manager, Field Performance, this role works with a small group of Field Engineers servicing the eastern region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide onsite support to assist. dealer's with resolving vehicle technical issues. Additionally, and as required, you will support our Engineering and Legal departments performing Engineering and Safety Investigations, Airbag data downloads, and represent GM in legal proceedings as a technical expert.
As a strong team player, you will work remotely with the Canadian Field Service Engineering Team, and cross functional teams from Canada and USA to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
Experience in dealer technical environments, Vehicle Diagnostic skill and a willingness to be on the leading edge of vehicle diagnostics tools/methods are key to this role.
Required skills and Experience:
  • A high level of vehicle diagnostic skill and experience
  • Experience with GM Diagnostic Tools (MDI / GDS / Scopes, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of vehicle systems including Electrical, Powertrain, Chassis
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical abilities combined with great decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong learner and ability to work in cross-functional team environments
  • Desire to stay at leading edge of new diagnostic tools and methods
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout Quebec & the Eastern Provinces
  • Ability to represent GM in legal proceedings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in French/English (written and spoken)

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in the automotive technical field (Licensed Technician)
  • 5+ years working as a Licensed Automotive Technician
  • Knowledge of GM Service applications (SI, GDS)
  • Bilingual French/English
  • EV experience

  • Licensed Automotive Technician
