Company Description

Agile IT is a Microsoft‑focused consulting and managed services provider. We help customers modernize and secure Microsoft 365, Azure, Azure Government, and Microsoft GCC High, with a mission to make CMMC Level 2 practical and sustainable through repeatable architectures, evidence automation, and managed operations.

What you’ll work across (our services)

  • Professional Services – Enablement (fixed‑price projects)

  • Managed Services – Security & CMMC Compliance for Microsoft cloud and on‑premises systems

  • Microsoft GCC High Licensing (secure onboarding & lifecycle operations)

  • Complementary Partner Services (co‑delivered with strategic partners)

Job Description

You’ll be the principal‑level technical face of secure Microsoft cloud programs—leading architecture, patterns, and pre‑sales while mentoring our delivery teams. This role blends billable customer delivery and internal R&D with billable pre‑sales. Your north star: design and prove repeatable, self‑documenting (CMMC L2) architectures for Azure Government and Microsoft GCC High using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/ARM/Powershell, Azure Runbooks)....and demonstrate why Agile IT is the long‑term CMMC technology partner.

What You’ll Do

  • Customer delivery (billable): Lead discovery, architecture (HLD/LLD), and technical direction for secure Microsoft solutions across Azure Gov, GCC High, and M365.

  • Internal R&D: Build and harden reusable IaC modules (Bicep/ARM/Powershell, Azure Runbooks) and platform guardrails; publish reference patterns.

  • Pre‑sales: Run technical discovery, scope/assumption validation, LOE/pricing inputs, and SOW quality; create demos and solution briefs.

  • CMMC L2 “self‑documenting” solutions: Ensure designs and pipelines generate control mappings, diagrams, logs, test evidence, and runbooks that meet NIST 800‑171/CMMC L2 expectations.

  • Pipelines & compliance artifacts: Establish CI/CD that emits audit‑ready artifacts (markdown/PDF, diagrams, deployment logs) into evidence repositories.

  • Mentorship & leadership: Coach architects/engineers; lead design/code reviews; host internal workshops; elevate standards and reduce escalations.

  • Thought leadership: Contribute talks, speaking engagment, webinars, and briefs that position Agile IT as the ideal CMMC partner.

  • Collaboration: Partner with the COO (delivery), CRO (pre‑sales), PM/SDM leaders, and GRC peers on scope, risk, evidence, and handoffs.

What “Great” Looks Like (Success Metrics)

  • Utilization at/above target (blend of Customer + Sales + IRS R&D work types).

  • 3–5 reusable IaC patterns (Azure Gov/GCC High) using Bicep/ARM/PowerShell templates or Azure Runbooks—adopted by delivery, with audit‑ready docs.

  • Improved win rate and accurate LOE vs. actuals on opportunities you support.

  • Time‑to‑audit‑ready reduced for key customers; CSAT ≥ 4.5/5.

  • Clear mentorship impact (stronger designs, fewer escalations, faster cycles).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years designing and delivering Microsoft cloud solutions (Azure + Microsoft 365) with security depth.

  • Principal‑level presence: run executive workshops, produce defensible designs, and guide complex delivery.

  • Hands‑on IaC expertise: Bicep/ARM/Powershell, Azure Runbooks, and AzureDevops (automation/standardization focus).

  • Proven experience mapping designs to CMMC Level 2 / NIST 800‑171 with audit‑ready documentation.

  • Pre‑sales capability: technical discovery, scoping, LOE/pricing, and SOW contributions (tracked Billable to Sales in AutoTask).

  • Excellent technical writing (HLD/LLD, diagrams, runbooks) and mentoring skills.

  • Education: College degree preferred, not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Delivery experience in Azure Government and Microsoft GCC High (constraints, migrations, service gaps).

  • Evidence automation (KQL, Logic Apps/Power Automate, or API integrators like n8n/Rewst).

  • Security/architecture certifications (e.g., SC‑100, AZ‑500, SC‑200/300/400, AZ‑104/AZ‑305, CISSP) or CMMC‑aligned training.

  • Public speaking/content portfolio (talks, blogs, white papers).

Additional Information

Compensation & benefits

  • Competitive compensation

  • Comprehensive benefits (medical, retirement, PTO, professional development).

  • Mission‑driven work that directly strengthens the national security supply chain.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
