We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage the core infrastructure supporting our video surveillance cloud platform. This role is essential for ensuring our systems are scalable, resilient, and highly available, enabling our video solutions to deliver real-time insights. You will work with the latest cloud technologies to develop a reliable and secure platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, frontend engineers, and product managers.
As an Infrastructure Engineer on the Turing team, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure to support the performance, security, and scalability needs of the video platform. You’ll build foundational systems and tools that empower our engineering teams, optimize infrastructure for high availability, and enable us to respond quickly to evolving customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure for the video surveillance platform.
- Develop and deploy automation tools for efficient management and monitoring of infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability of systems through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Collaborate with backend and engineering teams to support the integration of models and applications.
- Implement robust security practices to safeguard infrastructure, data, and applications.
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, including architectural diagrams and configuration details.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide timely resolution of infrastructure-related incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps in a cloud environment.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- Proven experience with networking, security, and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or DocumentDB.
- Experience in video/audio streaming or real-time data processing environments.
- Previous work experience in a start-up or fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with load balancing, caching, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks.
