Influencer Marketing Manager

San Francisco, CA | Hybrid (in office 3 days/week)

At Rothy’s, we know there’s a better way to do business, and it starts by putting the planet and its people first. More than 225 million single-use plastic bottles and 715,000 pounds of ocean-bound marine plastic have been transformed into our signature thread, creating wardrobe staples that look just as good as they feel.

Striving for zero waste, we combine 3D knitting technology and handcrafted assembly to create machine washable styles that don’t compromise on comfort. From classic shoes to carry-everywhere bags, we create essentials for wherever you go.

At Rothy’s, building a sustainable future is at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive environment at our HQ, retail stores and wholly-owned factory, and are growing our community every day.

About the Team:

A mighty force of communications and public relations specialists, our PR & Amplification team spreads the word of Rothy’s far and wide. As part of the Marketing organization, these team members work closely with others like Creative, Brand Strategy and Sustainability to amplify the brand through selective partnerships, activations and much-talked-about events.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Influencer Marketing Manager to own and lead the strategy for our influencer program, widely recognized for generating conversation and loyalty online. Reporting to the VP of Brand & Communications, you’ll set the direction for the creators, talent, and content that carry Rothy’s across TikTok, Instagram, Substack, YouTube and whatever comes next, and serve as the go-to expert on influencer strategy for partners across the business.

This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a strategic, social-native marketing leader who brings a roster of creator relationships, a sharp point of view on where culture is headed, and the judgment to navigate ambiguous, fast-moving situations with minimal guidance. You have great taste, a clear point of view on what makes people stop scrolling, and the operational muscle and cross-functional influence to make it all ship on time.

What you’ll do:

  • Grow and protect our talent roster: maintain and expand Rothy’s roster of loyal talent, writers, and creators, deepening the relationships that turn one-off partners into long-term brand advocates

  • Own a full-funnel channel mix: cover a breadth of platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Substack, YouTube and more, sourcing the content and creators driving the conversations that matter on each

  • Build social-first strategies for every launch: develop social-first plans that support Rothy’s campaigns and product priorities, sourcing content that feeds both the organic and paid media pipeline

  • Manage agency and creator partners: direct agency partners to source content and guarantee timely, on-brand deliveries across a busy calendar of launches and moments

  • Track budget: manage program spend across creators and agency partners, tracking pacing and cost efficiency to deliver reach and conversion within budget

  • Build direct relationships: cultivate direct relationships with agencies and creator partners, negotiating deliverables, usage, timelines, and terms that work for everyone. Secure content usage rights and negotiate UGC deliverables for inclusion in paid ads, whitelisting

  • Manage top creator platforms: manage product seeding and creator conversations within and beyond platforms including ShopMy and LTK, driving a steady stream of organic and paid content

  • Concept and brief content: translate campaign priorities into video concepts and clear creator/creative briefs, owning the process from idea through delivery

  • Turn performance into strategy: track and report out on program results across platforms, understand what drives reach, engagement, and conversion, and use those insights to sharpen creator selection and content strategy

  • Partner cross-functionally: work hand in hand with Media, Brand, Social, Creative, and Product teams so influencer content shows up cohesively across every touchpoint and directly fuels organic and paid pipeline

  • Stay ahead of culture: track emerging platforms, formats, and creators before they break, keeping Rothy’s early to the trends that shape the conversation

You are:

  • A social-native marketer: you bring a sharp eye for strategy and a real appetite for insights

  • A collaborative cross-functional partner: you know how to navigate cross-functional teams and build trust with peers across the company

  • A clear communicator: you know how to frame and share meaningful updates and insights, and adjust to your audience

  • A proactive problem-solver: you bring structure to ambiguity and thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment

  • Detail-oriented and organized: you juggle multiple campaigns and partners at once without losing sight of the details

  • Someone with great taste: you have a real point of view on creators, culture, and how modern brands earn attention online

You have:

  • 4–6 years of influencer, social, or creator marketing experience, ideally at a fashion, beauty, or lifestyle brand with a strong social presence

  • A track record of building creator relationships that translate into measurable reach, engagement, and commercial impact

  • Deep platform fluency: you live on TikTok, Instagram, Substack, and YouTube and understand what makes content perform natively on each

  • Hands-on experience with influencer tools and platforms (e.g., ShopMy, LTK, TikTok Creator Marketplace) and with sourcing content for organic and paid use

  • Experience managing agency and vendor partners, including briefing, timelines, deliverables, and budgets

  • Fluency with data and performance metrics: you’re comfortable using results to inform creator selection and content strategy

  • Bonus Points:

    • Experience scaling an influencer program recognized or awarded within the industry

    • A personal network of creators, managers, and agencies you can tap from day one

    • Experience feeding influencer content into paid media and working closely with performance teams

    • Passion for sustainability and Rothy’s mission

Our benefits:

  • Generous paid time off

  • 401k matching

  • Comprehensive health plans for you and your family

  • Supplemental mental health benefits

  • Monthly wellness reimbursement

  • Dog friendly offices

  • Employee Discount Program!

Pay range:

$120,000-$145,860/annually

Base pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
