Are you a strategic marketing leader ready to make an impact? UL Solutions is seeking an Industry Marketing Lead to drive the North American marketing strategy and execution for our Consumer Products, Medical Devices, and Information Technologies business division. This role will focus on building awareness and demand for the organization's advanced testing, inspection, and compliance solutions.
This role is hybrid based in Northbrook, IL | Chicago, IL | Austin, TX
In this role, you will influence the go-to-market strategy and own the marketing plan for one or more market segments or product categories with defined revenue and growth objectives. You'll serve as a strategic and trusted partner for the business division with a deep understanding and alignment of business objectives and priorities to define the marketing strategy and execution in support of revenue and growth objectives. Candidates will be versed in industry issues, vernacular, regulations and unique buying behavior and able to provide insights and intelligence as input to innovation and go-to market strategies.

Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, communication or related field, plus generally more than 10 years of experience

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $118,000 to $140,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivates industry knowledge and leads definition of the market opportunity for a market segment or product category. Categorizes which solution(s) should be promoted (product/service, bundle, etc.) and the corresponding competitive positioning, messaging, routes to market, target buyers, buying cycle and more.
- Engages senior leaders across the business division to develop marketing strategy and plan that is aligned with the business needs and objectives. Maintains regular cadence and communication with the business division leaders and key stakeholders to foster closer collaboration and deeper understanding of business challenges that helps to finetune our plan and execution that is aligned with their objectives.
- Monitors industry trends (regulations, macroeconomic conditions, trends, business challenges) and acts as a subject matter expert. Leads efforts to complete competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and impending risks.
- Interlocks with Portfolio Marketing, Marketing Operations and Regional Marketing to lead development of buyer-centric campaigns/programs that build awareness, establish thought leadership, drive demand and preference for our offerings. Writes and edits marketing content including playbooks, case studies, blog posts, whitepapers and sales training materials for industry inbound and outbound marketing activities. Leads efforts to monitor and report on marketing successes and return on investment (ROI) against defined goals/metrics.
- Understands the demand type and primary influencer audiences within an industry or market segment and maps out the customer buying process, isolates nuances and patterns. Contributes to, or helps lead creation and ongoing maintenance of, industry-specific buyer personas and identifies target accounts/personae within the industry or market segment.
- Leads strong collaboration with a formal sales enablement function and product/solution specialists, i.e., cyber, Global Market Access (GMA), sustainability and functional safety, on a well-defined sales enablement plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED.
