Your Role 

Achieve sales, gross profit, volume objectives and supplier goals for the HI&I Industry in Pacific.  Sales effort will be directed through direct focused industry seller activities as well as through the generalist sales team for Brenntag Pacific. Responsibilities 

Supervisory Responsibilities  

 

Provide consultative support to Sales TeamResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training 

employees, opportunity pipeline management, general us of SFDC and planning. 

 

HI&I North American Team 

  • Provide input into the overall North American HI&I business strategy 

  • Implement broader North American HI&I strategy

  • Represent the North American HI&I team, leveraging best practices across from other regions and providing insights to other regions about best practices

  • Prioritize and coordinate support activities with North American HI&I applications laboratory in coordination with North American HI&I Vice President and PC/HI&I Laboratory Director 

  • Sales 

  • Collaborate with District Managers, Branch Managers and Sales Managers to establish, monitor and hold sales organization accountable to achieve segment budget.  

  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for sales, gross profit and volume for assigned business unit.  

  • Continually evaluate, develop and implement pricing strategies to increase the gross profit percentage, gross profit per pound and overall gross profit for assigned business unite.  

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in assigned business unit.  

  • Work with the Key Accounts team to grow National Account business.  

  • Review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, prices schedules and discount rates and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.  

  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular prospective customers to solicit orders or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone. 

  • Promote value and solutions selling culture amongst HI&I sales professionals 

 

Suppliers 

 

  • Coordinate supplier activities, close on target opportunities and report on progress with suppliers. 

  • Work with the VP of Sales and Marketing, District/Branch/Sales Managers on market pricing evaluation, prices supports and general supplier issues. 

  • Seek out new product and market opportunities. 

  • Meet budget targets established with key suppliers. 

 

Financial  

 

  • Prepare annual goals and budget for assigned product segment.  

  • Collaborate with Brenntag Supply Chain and branch management teams to maximize inventory turns and minimize dead or slow stock. 

  • Direct product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. 

  • Promote team concept with customer service, purchasing, marketing, operations and accounting staff.

Skills 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Abilities to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speech and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors Admittance 

Education & Experience 
  • BS Degree  

  • 5+ years of related experience
