About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Implementation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is critical in providing a "white-glove, Ritz Carlton" onboarding experience for new clients, guiding them through the setup process, technical integrations, and initial inventory inbounding. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem-solver with a strong understanding of 3PL logistics, e-commerce, and technical integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • White-Glove Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients, providing personalized guidance and support every step of the way.
  • Project Management: Develop and execute detailed implementation plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within initial scope set by the Sales process.
  • Technical Integrations: Lead the integration of client systems with the Portless platform, including Shopify fulfillment configuration, ecosystem apps, custom integrations, and other relevant software. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to clients.
  • Inventory Inbounding: Manage the initial inventory inbounding process, ensuring coaching merchants through product best-practices, proper labeling, supplier orchestration, data entry, and efficient receiving procedures.
  • Data Migration: Oversee the migration of client data into the Portless system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and documentation to clients on how to use the Portless platform effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, fulfillment operations, product development, and customer success, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to establish & improve the onboarding process; inclusive of developing best practices for future implementations.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the onboarding process, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns.  
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise during the implementation process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Proven experience of 3+ years in implementation, onboarding, or a related technical role.
  • Experience in fulfillment, shipping, or e-commerce is highly preferred.
  • Experience with technical integrations, including APIs and e-commerce platform integrations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Technical proficiency with data manipulation, spreadsheets, and potentially SQL or other database querying languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
