Datadog is looking for an Immigration and Mobility People Solutions Specialist to lead our immigration and relocation program for the Americas region. This role will work closely with other teams internally such as Recruiting, People Business Partners, Legal, Payroll and Benefits to evaluate and streamline various programs. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our growing People team.

What You’ll Do:
Immigration
- Collect and maintain all necessary visa information for all Americas employees (this includes expiration dates, current visa process, etc.)
- Assist all Foreign Nationals and recruiters with visa questions regarding process, timeline, language, etc.
- Weekly visa status calls with immigration counsel to go over open cases and get updates
- Work directly with immigration vendors to ensure all Americas employees are authorized to work, for guidance and compliance, research and assist with any visa questions countries
- Maintain immigration dashboard in Workday with relevant visa information for tax purposes (e.g., visa status, changes to status, end dates), and provide reports and analysis for executive team
- Handle all travel visas for all Americas employees going to other offices for business purposes outside of their home country
- Point of contact for all U.S. visas (J-1, H-1B, F-1, TN, E-3, O-1, Greencard, etc.)
- Every year put together a list of potential candidates for the H-1B Lottery, meet with PBPs to go over candidate list for approvals, then sit down with relevant executive team members to finalize sponsorships and assist in prep work needed in order to submit for the lottery
- Handle and process all J-1 intern applications and manage the midterm and final surveys for the supervisors and managers
- Ensure all Foreign Nationals’ I-9s are updated and re-verified (when necessary) with proper work authorization documentation
Relocation
- Enforce internal mobility policy, in collaboration with recruiting and other stakeholders as necessary, for current employee moves and new hires in the Americas who are relocating
- Conduct research to gather benchmarking data on what other companies’ policies are
- Manage relocation vendor to assist with new hire and current employee moves
- Serve as primary contact for PBPs, recruiting teams, managers and employees regarding relocation policy and practices
- Assist in communicating relocation packages; answer questions and resolve escalated issues from employees
- Stay current with laws, regulations and procedures governing international mobility
- Prepare assignment cost estimates while being cost conscious, apply the appropriate assignment policies and packages and use reasonable judgment in decisions on exceptions
- Coordinate with Tax team and explain tax implications for international relocations, especially related to equity, to Americas employees
Who You Are:
- At least five years of experience of broad HR experience in fast-paced environments
- At least two years of experience managing immigration processes
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to successfully implement and maintain HR programs
- Detail oriented and organized with sound decision making ability
- Track record of successfully juggling multiple projects and priorities
- Able to navigate ambiguity and shift direction when priorities change
