JOB PURPOSE:

Based in Colorado, this individual is responsible for achieving the Region sales plan within trade investment spending parameters. Develop and grow the total Unilever Ice Cream business in the Out of Home (OOH) Channels through the training and management of Distributor network. Primary focus placed on small format independent stores, convenience stores, recreation, leisure, travel, business location and other national accounts. In addition, executing and managing the freezer equipment program.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and best practices to the Distributor network to expand the availability and visibility of the full range of Unilever Ice Cream OOH products. 
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies to include negotiating trade promotions, item authorization, distribution, and delivery against targets. 
  • Develop annual joint business plans with the retailers (share, brand plans, category management, and shopper insights).  
  • Build an annual sales forecast to be loaded into the Unilever Evergreen system and updated monthly.  Provide a monthly business update for the channel. 
  • Manage the customer interface to ensure on-going share development and profitable growth. 
  • Interface with Ice Cream Brand and CCD Teams to execute the annual strategy, within the agreed parameters.   
  • Implement and maintain National programs on the local/regional level, with assistance from the OOH Region Managers.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • 5+ years of relevant sales and distribution experience 
  • Business development and account management experience required 
  • Experience identifying and capturing new business opportunities, ideally within consumer products or unconventional channels such as airlines, healthcare, or education. 
  • DSD experience highly preferred 
  • Experience in emerging channels (e.g., airlines, hotels, schools) is a strong plus. 

SKILLS:

  • Self-starter with ability to think independently and strategically        
  • Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish, maintain, and grow relationships. 
  • Strong analytical ability 
  • Proficient in Office suite 
  • Business Hunter Mindset: Proactive in identifying and seizing new business opportunities in untapped channels. 

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
