Senior SailPoint ISC Engineer

Professional Services / Identity & Access Management   |   Full-Time

Location: Remote anywhere in the U.S.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) Engineer to join our Professional Services team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize identity governance solutions for our clients, leveraging SailPoint ISC to solve complex identity and access management challenges. You will work directly with client stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle — from discovery and design through implementation, testing, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute SailPoint ISC implementation projects for clients across various industries, including configuration of identity sources, access profiles, roles, policies, and workflows
  • Translate client business and compliance requirements into scalable IGA (Identity Governance and Administration) solutions
  • Design and build integrations between SailPoint ISC and target systems (Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, databases, custom applications, etc.) using connectors and APIs
  • Develop certifications, access request workflows, separation of duties (SoD) policies, and lifecycle events within ISC
  • Configure and customize workflows using SailPoint’s workflow builder, JavaScript-based rules, and REST/SCIM APIs
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and solution design workshops with client stakeholders
  • Provide architecture guidance and best practices for identity governance, role-based access control (RBAC), and access certifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during implementation and post-go-live support
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents, configuration guides, and runbooks
  • Mentor junior consultants and engineers on SailPoint ISC best practices and implementation methodologies
  • Manage multiple concurrent client engagements while maintaining high quality and timely delivery
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including scoping, level-of-effort estimation, and technical demonstrations as needed
  • Stay current on SailPoint product roadmap, new features, and industry IAM trends
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting SailPoint IdentityNow/Identity Security Cloud (ISC) solutions
  • Prior experience working in a professional services, consulting, or systems integrator environment, delivering solutions directly to external clients
  • Strong understanding of identity governance concepts: provisioning/deprovisioning, access certifications, SoD, RBAC, lifecycle management, and access requests
  • Experience integrating SailPoint with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, and various databases
  • Proficiency with SailPoint’s workflow engine, JavaScript-based provisioning rules, and REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of identity protocols and standards (SAML, OAuth, SCIM, LDAP)
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops and present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities
  • Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter, solve problems, and drive better business outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
  • SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) certification highly preferred
  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) in addition to ISC, including migration projects from IIQ to ISC
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Java
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud identity services
  • Background in regulatory/compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
