Description and Primary Responsibilities:
The Software/Support Engineer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting a Unified Provider Payment Platform, delivering highly available and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to build new features, resolve production issues, and ensure reliable operation of critical payment workflows. The engineer will provide production support, including periodic weekend and on-call support, to troubleshoot application, performance, and integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term stability improvements. The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based deployments, and operational monitoring, along with a strong focus on security, compliance, and operational excellence for payment systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and comfortable balancing software development with production support responsibilities in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building scalable backend services
- 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices deployment
- 5+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and driving engineering excellence
- 3+ years of experience with any one of the cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure cloud services
- 3+ years of experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
- Willingness to do development and support related work based on business need
Preferred Qualifications and Soft Skills:
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and integration into enterprise applications
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams
