The Spare Engineering Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership for Micron's Spare Engineering programs, driving sustainable cost leadership through Value Engineering (VE), Repair Capability Development, Supplier Ecosystem Expansion, and Asia Bench collaboration.
This role will lead the development and deployment of innovative repair technologies, alternate materials, and cost reduction solutions while strengthening collaboration across F15, OMT, Central Bench, Procurement, Equipment Engineering, and Global Spares Engineering teams.
The manager will be responsible for converting high-level cost and business objectives into executable engineering roadmaps that deliver long-term savings, improve repair capability, and reduce external dependency across the Asia Bench Ecosystem

1. Spare Engineering Strategy & Cost Leadership
- Define and execute Spare Engineering strategy supporting Micron cost objectives
- Drive Value Engineering (VE) initiatives across repair, material, and sourcing programs
- Build long-term savings pipeline through innovation and technology development
- Support CCRR, lifetime extension, alternate source, and consumption reduction programs
2. Repair Technology Development & Deployment
- Lead development of new repair technologies and specialized capabilities
- Drive qualification and deployment of innovations across Asia Bench sites
- Partner with Global Bench teams to maximize technology sharing and reuse
- Accelerate capability transfer between F15, OMT, F10, and Central Bench
3. Asia Bench Ecosystem Leadership
- Support the One Asia Bench Ecosystem strategy
- Coordinate engineering collaboration between Japan and Taiwan Bench teams
- Standardize engineering best practices and BKM deployment
- Drive cross-site capacity and capability optimization
4. Supplier Ecosystem & Business Development
- Expand technical partnerships with local and global suppliers
- Drive supplier scouting, business matching, and capability development
- Collaborate with government agencies, universities, and industry partners
- Identify emerging technologies and new business opportunities

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, or spare parts management
- Proven experience in team leadership and people management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working across multiple functions and global teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution
- Business-level English proficiency
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Spare Engineering, CCRR, repair technologies, or Value Engineering (VE)
- Experience with cost reduction, supplier development, or alternate source programs
- Experience in cross-site collaboration and technology deployment
