Your attention to detail will ensure we’re always aligned with regulations and best practices.
  • Employee Engagement: Serve as the first line of engagement for employee requests, providing support and answers with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Handbook Ownership: Take charge of maintaining and updating the employee handbook, ensuring policies remain compliant and aligned with company culture and multiple states.
  • Process Improvement: Help formalize and streamline HR processes, contributing to a more efficient and scalable HR function.
  • Onboarding: Own the employee onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from offer acceptance to their first day. Experience onboarding employees in bulk is a plus.
  • Project Juggling: Balance multiple priorities and projects with poise, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

What Makes This Role Exciting:

  • Collaborative Team: Join a small, high-performing HR team where your ideas and contributions will truly make a difference.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Each day brings new challenges, projects, and opportunities to learn.
  • Impactful Work: Help shape the foundation of HR processes and policies as we build a world-class organization.

Why Join Us?

  • Exciting Growth: Be part of a company that’s scaling rapidly and embracing new opportunities through acquisitions.
  • Empowered Team: Work with passionate and supportive colleagues who value collaboration and innovation.
  • Room to Shine: As a key player in a growing HR team, your contributions will have a tangible impact on our success.
  • Professional Development: We invest in our employees’ growth with opportunities to expand your skill set and advance your career.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and basic understanding of employment laws.
  • A "can-do" attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Be proactive, forward-thinking, and question everything in a positive, inquisitive manner.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
