BIG PICTURE:
We are seeking a highly organized, people-first Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in Burbank, CA. This full-time, in-person role partners closely with the Human Resources Sr. Manager to support day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruiting, performance management,
compliance, and people initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
The ideal candidate combines strong HR fundamentals with exceptional emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the confidence to build trust at every level of the organization. HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
-Partner with the Human Resources Sr. Manager to execute day-to-day HR operations and people initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.

-Serve as a trusted, visible HR partner by building relationships, answering employee questions, and confidently navigating sensitive workplace issues.

-Respond to employee relations matters, including conflicts, investigations, accommodations, workplace injuries, and policy concerns with sound judgment and professionalism.

-Lead the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding.

-Partner cross-functionally with leaders, Finance, and Production to ensure a seamless employee experience and operational excellence.

-Maintain compliance with California employment laws, HR policies, leave administration, Workers Compensation, and employee documentation.

-Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen HR operations, and enhance the employee experience.

-Support culture-building initiatives that foster trust, accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement.

-Build credibility with employees, managers, and senior production leaders while effectively balancing empathy, accountability, and business needs.

WHAT YOU HAVE:
-4–6 years of progressive HR Generalist or People Operations experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and HR operations.

-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

-Strong working knowledge of California employment law, leave administration, employee classifications, and HR best practices. Production or entertainment experience is a plus.

-Proven ability to independently navigate employee relations matters, investigations, and difficult conversations with sound judgment, empathy, and professionalism.

-Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust at all levels of the organization.

-A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify solutions,
and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

-Experience with HRIS platforms and HR technology. Familiarity with Justworks, BambooHR, Greenslate, Google Workspace, or similar systems is a plus.

-Experience in film/TV production and finance.

-Available to work on-site in Chatsworth / Burbank five days a week, with occasional flexibility to support production outside of regular business hours as needed.
