Within the CSG, the Human Exploration and Space Flight (HESF) Division supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight. The primary function of this position is to ensure the technical baseline management approach for the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) office is sound, well integrated, and addresses the vast program control needs across the EHP portfolio and Artemis missions. As the EHP Program Control Systems Director (Systems Director - Engineering Program Management and Systems Engineering) representing Aerospace on this NASA team, you will shape from a systems engineering perspective the baseline management implementation/maintenance/governance approach for EHP and their respective projects including the Lunar Terrain Vehicle, Pressurized Rover, and Suits.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide baseline management through development and integration of the program control /configuration management approach to ensure EHP systems are under control, integrated with other Moon to Mars programs, and compliant with NASA and government regulations and requirements
- Manage the task order, financials, and customer engagement related to EHP's PPC control initiatives
- Manage the growing team developing and implementing NASA EHP's Configuration and Data Management (CDM) activities
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that EHP CDM objectives, needs and concerns are defined and being executed according to NASA CDM requirements, this includes integration of vendor systems
- Represent Aerospace across customer forums and control boards
- Identify susceptibilities and vulnerabilities to program life cycles that would drive technical baseline risk identification
- Develop CDM tools and capabilities that align with customer digital engineering approaches
- Mentor and develop the team supporting baseline management through identification of certification and training programs, elevating the importance of technical baseline management
- Provide CDM leadership to inform and support systems engineering efforts within the program office
- Own, review and update government CDM plans and processes and ensure implementation excellence
- Support EHP lifecycle reviews ensuring the CDM and LCR are prepared and delivering on requirements and deliverables
- Provide oversight and recommendations for improved CDM practices/processes and digital engineering implementations
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Systems Director- Engineering Program Management and Systems Engineering
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 or more years of experience in Configuration and Data Management discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience with government implementation of a technical baseline
- Experience defining and leading CDM projects
- Experience managing a development lifecycle
- Superior analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including effectively explaining concepts to managers and government leaders
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting
- Willing to travel domestically as needed
