About Clockwork Systems

Clockwork.io – Software Driven Fabrics to increase GPU cluster utilization

Clockwork Systems was founded by Stanford researchers and veteran systems engineers who share a vision for redefining the foundations of distributed computing. As AI workloads grow increasingly complex, traditional infrastructure struggles to meet the demands of performance, reliability, and precise coordination. Clockwork is pioneering a software-driven approach to AI fabrics by delivering cross-stack observability to catch and quickly resolve problems, workload fault tolerance to keep jobs running through failures, and performance acceleration that dynamically routes and paces traffic to avoid congestion.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Revenue Operations Expert/GTM Engineer  who operates comfortably from first principles to execution. This is not a maintenance role — we need a builder who has designed and implemented revenue systems from scratch, and can scale and optimize them in growth-stage primarily and into later-stage.

You’ll partner with marketing, sales and finance on the architecture and execution of our go-to-market systems, enabling these teams through clean data, strong systems design, and actionable insights.

What You’ll Do

  • Build & Architect GTM Systems

    • Co-design, implement, and iterate on scalable revenue infrastructure with reporting across Salesforce, HubSpot, with AI-driven Claude dashboards, custom models, or scripts)
    • Build pipelines, automations, and data models from the ground up — not just configure existing tools
    • Establish clean data architecture, governance, and reporting layers

    Own Revenue Intelligence & Reporting

    • Translate complex GTM data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
    • Build dashboards and reporting systems that support:
      • Pipeline health & forecasting
      • Full funnel conversion & efficiency
      • Segment / account-level performance
    • Develop multi-system reporting across the entire funnel, connecting data from marketing, sales, and finance into a unified view
    • Partner with leadership on forecasting, planning, and KPI definition

    Support Scaled GTM Motions

    • Design and operationalize account tiering frameworks
    • Align marketing, sales, and finance around shared data models and workflows

    Be Deeply Hands-On

    • Write scripts, build workflows, and configure systems directly
    • Leverage AI tools (including Claude and Clay as well as AI-native Outreach, Gong) for:
      • Data enrichment
      • Workflow automation
      • Insight generation
    • Debug and improve systems continuously — you’re the person people go to when things break

What We’re Looking For

Builder Mentality

  • You’ve built GTM systems from the ground up, not just optimized existing ones
  • You’re comfortable operating without perfect specs, operating with some degree of ambiguity and iterating rapidly on the system as more insights become available with marketing, sales and finance
  • You are responsive and proactive with a strong sense of urgency

Technical + Strategic Hybrid

  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Salesforce (advanced admin / architecture level)
    • HubSpot (CRM workflows and reporting)
    • AI tooling (Claude and Codex coded dashboards, MCP servers, APIs, Agentic workflows)
  • Proven experience building multi-system reporting layers that span the full revenue funnel (lead → opportunity → revenue → expansion/retention)
  • Ability to move between:
    • Writing logic / workflows
    • Designing system architecture
    • Communicating insights to leadership

Experience

  • Experience building in growth-stage companies
  • Familiarity with:
    • Enterprise GTM motions
    • Account segmentation and tiering
    • Multi-touch attribution and complex sales cycles

Analytical & Communication Strength

  • Strong data intuition — you know what matters and what’s noise
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, and Finance
Bonus
  • Familiarity with modern GTM tooling like Clay
  • Experience with data warehouses and/or databases like Vercel and/or Supabase
  • Coding experience (Python, SQL, or similar)
  • Prior role titled GTM Engineer, RevOps Lead, or similar in a high-growth company
How This Role Creates Impact
  • Not a ticket-taking RevOps role — you co-design and build the system
  • Not purely strategic — very hands-on role
  • High impact — your work directly shapes how the company scales revenue
Why Join Us?
  • You’ll own a mission-critical system powering the entire revenue engine.
  • You’ll get autonomy and influence — the ability to architect the system the right way from the start.
  • You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership in a highly collaborative, very flat org structure with direct exposure to seasoned executives and a high-growth environment where we are landing the world’s top AI partners & customers
  • Hybrid flexible culture — work onsite in Palo Alto 2+ days/week with a strong local team with strong coaching support.

Enjoy

  • Challenging projects.
  • A friendly and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • A great benefits package.
  • Catered lunch.

Compensation for this position will vary based on the skills and experience you bring, as well as internal equity considerations. For candidates hired at the posted level, the expected base salary range is $125,000 - $180,000. In addition to cash compensation, this role is eligible to participate in the company’s equity program, which may include stock options granted in accordance with the company’s equity plan and subject to approval and applicable vesting schedules.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
