Location: Remote

Type: Contract / Project-Based

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced HubSpot CMS Specialist to lead the migration of an existing SaaS marketing website to HubSpot CMS. This is a project-based role with the potential to extend into additional work across other HubSpot Hubs, including Marketing, Sales, and most urgently, Service Hub (Pro edition). Our current support system is Freshdesk, which we will be transitioning from.

This is a great opportunity for someone with deep HubSpot expertise who thrives in fast-moving environments and can bring strategic insight and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate our entire marketing website (approximately 15 pages) to HubSpot CMS, ensuring clean code, responsive design, and optimized performance.

  • Ensure SEO best practices are followed during migration, including:

    • URL mapping / redirection strategy (301 redirects)

    • Meta tags, alt text, and structured data optimization

    • On-page content formatting and keyword preservation

    • Sitemap submission and robots.txt configuration

  • Set up SEO tools and integrations within HubSpot CMS (e.g., Google Search Console, analytics, SEO recommendations).

  • Monitor post-migration SEO performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Rebuild existing site architecture, content, and forms within HubSpot while improving UX/UI where appropriate.

  • Set up key HubSpot tools across Marketing, Sales, and Service Hubs to align with company goals.

  • Lead the migration from Freshdesk to HubSpot Service Hub, ensuring proper configuration of ticket pipelines, automation, knowledge base, and live chat.

  • Integrate CRM features and automation across the platform, ensuring smooth data flow and usability.

  • Provide recommendations and documentation on best practices, scalable structure, and future maintenance.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience migrating websites to HubSpot CMS (please include portfolio/examples).

  • Strong understanding of HubSpot’s Marketing, Sales, and especially Service Hub Pro tools.

  • Familiarity with support migrations from Freshdesk or similar platforms.

  • Competency in front-end development (HTML, CSS, HubL) and UX best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate requirements into actionable results.

  • Bonus: experience working with SaaS companies or startups.

Project Timeline:

Initial scope is estimated at 2-4 weeks with potential for continued collaboration depending on performance and future needs.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
