About SDL:

SDL provides cloud-based software solutions for local governments, aiming to make our communities better places to live and work. As a mission-driven company, SDL is committed to creating impactful technology that serves the public good.

We are looking for team members who take pride in their work and seek to consistently improve themselves, their skills, and their knowledge. If this sounds like you–and the type of work environment where you’d thrive–we hope you’ll join us!

We offer flexible remote work options and are primarily based in the US East Coast time zone. You do not have to relocate to join SDL!

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with up to 4% employer match for eligible team members.
  • Home office and IT budget.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • Supportive team environment.
  • The chance to work on innovative projects with cutting-edge technologies.
The Position:

You will be joining our Sales Team, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. As the first HubSpot Administrator at SDL, you will be responsible for:

  • Building the foundation for scalable growth across our revenue teams.
  • Owning the tech stack (HubSpot, DealHub, Quotapath, and Gong), fixing and improving key data issues, and driving operational excellence in how we prospect, manage, forecast, quote, and close deals.
  • Supporting integrations to programs that are sales adjacent (examples include Wrike, Linear, and Power Almanac).

You will be responsible for anticipating and meeting the needs of an evolving organization and owning the data integration process from start to finish to ensure stakeholders’ success across multiple programs. If rolling-up your sleeves to help refine and improve our practices is your thing, we are a great fit.

What This Job Can Offer You:
  • Complex and meaningful challenges — solving them will make our communities better places to live and work
  • Opportunity to have a significant impact on the business — you’ll serve as a trusted resource and thought partner for multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • A lot of freedom to organize your work and life — we focus on impact and results, not complicated bureaucracy and unnecessarily rigid standards.
  • Competitive salary, unlimited PTO, and a set of benefits.
  • A supportive work environment where you can grow and challenge yourself to do your best work.

What You Bring:

  • 4-5 years of HubSpot experience and a deep knowledge of data management in it. You WILL be our expert on staff.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: DealHub, QuotaPath, Gong.
  • Experience integrating other tools into Hubspot, such as project management and SDLC management, and collaborating with other departments to ensure that the integrations are meeting company-wide requirements.
  • The ability to work autonomously and consult cross-functional teams on best practices.
  • An understanding of how to prepare and present data for different teams’ needs.
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • 1-2 years of Rev Ops experience.
  • A strong understanding of the sales process and cycle.
  • Experience in the SaaS industry, particularly in providing solutions to local governments.
  • Prior startup experience.

Practicals:

  • You'll report to: VP of Sales
  • Location: Preferred Central or East Coast US time zone applicants.
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
