Floor 84 Studio is looking for a game programmer with experience in HTML5 who can follow best practices, develop core systems, and contribute direct code commits while working closely with other programming team members to meet time-sensitive deadlines. This individual will be an integral part of the F84 programming team and require great communication skills and a proactive attitude.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with experience across a broad range of development platforms and frameworks, who is passionate about bringing cutting-edge games and interactive experiences to the masses.
Responsibilities
Build core gameplay systems and features across a variety of game genres
Integrate assets based on specifications defined within a ticketing system
Review and contribute fixes for reported bugs and crashes while preventing regressions
Work with programming team members to deliver stable and performant builds that meet time-sensitive deadlines
Provide technical insights and guidelines related to art preparation for optimized runtime performance
Provide debugging support and insights with other programming team members
Assist in automation of build pipelines and associated tool chains
Assist in maintaining and growing a core game framework used across multiple projects
Requirements
Experience
5+ years related experience and/or training
Strong experience in multiple programming languages. Preferably Typescript or C#
Strong understanding of rendering pipelines. Preferably WebGL or OpenGL
Strong experience in existing HTML5 game frameworks. Preferably Phaser and Three.JS
Strong experience with networking, including peer-to-peer and server-client
Strong understanding of memory management
Strong 2D & 3D math skills
Strong game design sensibilities and interest in creating a great player experience
Experience in task automation and CI/CD pipelines
Other Skills

Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
Great interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Ability to multitask on several time intensive tasks at once
