Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As Workplace Experience Manager, you’ll be in charge of a small team that sets vision, prioritizes work, and is obsessed with continual improvement of Riot Game’s LAX campus. Through setting vision, you’ll be creating the qualitative and quantitative measures for the broader facilities team to gauge the successfulness of their work. Just as our game designers create great player experiences, you’re creating great work experiences at our offices through the services and support that the facilities team provides.

Prioritization of work is central to this role, because it will help the facilities team to focus its efforts on efforts with highest impact and highest reward. Efforts such as mail room services, work order resolution, space planning, and special on-campus events. You will figure out what is most important right now, why it is important, and then support other team members to execute against the priorities you’ve established.

And lastly, you’ve got an eye for detail, a passion for organization, and a sixth sense for how to navigate the domino effect of impacts of your decision making. By continually providing feedback and motivation to the facility team, you’ll be like a shot caller on the Rift, directing rotations to new objectives, and leading your team to shared victories.

You are:

  • A master planner: you’re a project pathfinder, breaking down massive ventures into obtainable, measurable, non-panic-attack-inducing objectives; when projects seem overly daunting, you steer the process along with calculated planning and efficient scheduling that helps you hurdle barriers and bust through blockers
  • Map aware: like a game master setting up your dungeon, you’re always thinking ahead to the next encounter. You’re comfortable with being challenged by your colleagues to come up with plans that meet current needs and are flexible enough to adapt to sudden changes in game conditions
  • Perceptive: your potent powers of perception help you understand and empathize with people’s motivations, intentions, and needs; your insightfulness gives you super psychic powers, helping you predict people’s future actions in meetings, peer-to-peer interactions, or the impending zombie apocalypse
  • User-focused: you understand your impact on the workplace experience because you’re able to empathise with the teams and occupants in your spaces; you listen closely to the voices around you to better understand their needs before they do and improve the overall Rioter experience
  • Priority-focused: you quickly identify critical projects, separating essential tasks from dreaded time-sucks; you can spot and avoid roadblocks miles ahead, which keeps you on track and more focused than a very determined laser beam
  • A visionary: you see the step beyond the step beyond, and you can share it with clarity and conviction; you invigorate teams by setting up achievement mileposts, helping them feel included in a future full of possibility - barring any type of sentient robot apocalypse, of course

You will:

  • Proactively communicate with Rioters. You know that targets move, dates change, and objectives shift - but at the center of your organizational nexus is the desire to share context with the team, our partners, and Rioters. You’ll predict answers to questions that haven’t been asked and give updates on projects before the flood of “ermahgerd” emails hit our inboxes.
  • Prioritize work with the knowledge that there are tradeoffs to every decision. You don’t allow analysis paralysis to get a grip on you. In this role, you’ll seek out context to get a better understanding of the issues and projects in front of the facilities team, so that you choose the best course of action for our team’s efforts.
  • Be the voice, eyes, and ears of the Facility Team, through actively engaging in discussion with Rioters at all levels about their individual workplace experience. You will share information and context to help raise the level of transparency between the work our team does and the many requests we receive on a daily basis.
  • Set a tone (and the objectives) for continual improvement of the Facility Team’s level of support. You’ll challenge status quo and always maintain the perspective that there’s never a final boss, just another level to reach.
  • Be mindful of the level of quality that our Facility Team is seeking to achieve and hold us collectively responsible to deliver. Share information to support critical feedback, as well as praise for a job well done. You will help the team identify opportunities to raise our quality bar higher and higher.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
