As the Head of the People Strategy & Programs team, you’ll play a key role in enabling a coordinated, data-driven HR strategy for our global People Team while crafting talent management programs focused on optimizing our employees’ engagement, talents and performance. You’ll lead a team of project managers and talent management specialists responsible for designing and implementing high impact people programs for a rapidly scaling, global workforce. In addition, you and your team will manage strategic initiatives and projects for some of the People Team’s most complex cross-functional initiatives. 


You will build and lead our People Strategy & Programs team, serving as an essential partner to our Executives and People Team leadership. Reporting to the Head of People Experience & Planning, you’ll enable our People leadership team to make data-driven, intentional decisions in managing our talent, ensuring GOAT Group is on the leading edge of organizational effectiveness best practices. More importantly, you’ll be focused on empowering our most valuable asset - our employees.

In this role you will:

  • Enable strategic planning and operations for the People Team, supporting the People Leadership Team in managing OKRs and establishing internal processes for our growing global HR organization
  • Lead a team responsible for some of GOAT Group’s key employee programs, including performance management, engagement surveys, succession planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, shaping the work experience of our corporate, retail, and operations teams across North America, APAC, and EMEA
  • Develop your team into internal consultants and project managers capable of driving a wide array of HR initiatives, directly managing the most complex projects while also coordinating cross-functional efforts across the broader People team
  • Partner with your People Experience & Planning teammates, including our Analytics and Learning & Development teams, in crafting an engaging employee experience and planning an integrated, data-driven talent management strategy
  • Seamlessly partner with leaders across the broader HR organization, including Recruiting Operations, HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and HR Technology. In addition, regularly craft narratives around talent strategy for stakeholders across GOAT Group’s Executive team and business

We are looking for:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with background in consulting, HR strategy, talent management, people analytics, or organizational development and effectiveness
  • Comfort building and coaching a team, demonstrated through at least 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience developing long-term strategies backed by data-driven narratives, coaching your to do the same
  • Experience driving complex change management initiatives and/or employee programs, able to thoughtfully design and nurture an employee experience that is engaging and inclusive
  • Strong project management skills, capable of coaching others in driving cross-functional initiatives from design through implementation; experience with a variety of project management techniques and tools a plus
  • Proven ability to coordinate a wide cross-functional array of stakeholders at the leadership level both within HR and across other business functions
  • Entrepreneurial agility, approaching the challenges of a dynamic, rapidly-changing environment with a curious mindset and “get-the-job-done” mentality
  • Subject matter expertise in talent management, human capital strategy, organizational development, organizational behavior, or other fields relevant to HR strategy, with a focus on staying on top of latest research and trends
  • MBA or similar certifications or advanced degrees a plus but not required
