Senior Labor Relations SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000286134Date Posted:2021-12-09-08:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: Boeing's Corporate Labor Relations team is looking for a Senior Labor Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Seal Beach, CA.The team is looking for someone who has a broad range of experience covering the areas of employee engagement, positive employee relations and labor relations. The candidate for this position will demonstrate proactive approaches to identifying issues, generating ideas and developing solutions. Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with leadership to maintain and foster relationships with employees that ensures a culture where management preserves the direct relationship with employees and the site remains non-union
• Identify risks both internal and external - to a strong, direct relationship between leaders and employees and develop plans to mitigate those risks
• Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for a stand-alone site(s)
• Provide innovative ideas/initiatives to increase employee engagement
• Provide operational advice and counsel to management, HR and support groups on a broad range of employee relations issues
• Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, HR Generalists, HR functions and to create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on relationships, trust and engagement
• Develop and provide education on Employee Relations strategies and processes
• Assist management and HR in developing strategies related to employee survey feedback.
• Knowledge, guidance and interpretation on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. The role will primarily support on-site work.Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience identifying and mitigating risks to a direct relationship between leaders and employees
• 3+ years of experience in HR or Employee Relations
• 5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience working with Unions in an HR capacity
• 3+ years of experience with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws, policies and procedures, in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
• Negotiation experience
• Previous experience with Workday

Typical Education & Experience: Typically 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
