As a Rioter Relations Lead aka, employee relations in Human Resources (we don't really like the word "employee"), you will work across multiple product teams and disciplines to support all facets of the business in delivering high quality and effective solutions for Rioters. You will drive, coach and mentor managers in resolving complex Rioter issues while also building a team to serve the needs of our org.

  • Experienced: you bring a strong background on a Talent team (HR at other places) and specialize in "employee relations"
  • A communications pro: you communicate easily in the most appropriate medium, be it email, hallway conversation or messenger pigeon; your cultural awareness helps you connect with others and makes you approachable and understandable
  • Organized and attentive: your diligence, structural skills, and attention to detail mean you've got timely, in-depth knowledge of every issue that crosses your desk; your time management skills help you prioritize tasks and info, so your attention is always focused on the right details
  • Judicious: you're confident in your ability to make the right decisions fairly and impartially
  • Extensive Knowledge of applicable CA State and Federal Employment/Labor Laws. 

You will:

  • Conduct and guides all Talent-related investigations to include: gathering and analyzing facts, applying relevant laws and policies and practices, to reach conclusions and recommended actions, partnering with internal employment attorneys and guiding Rioter Relations Specialists and Talent Partner(s) as needed.
  • Provide guidance and case management of Rioter Relations issues, from initial intake to resolution, in collaboration with Rioter Relations Specialists, Talent Partners, in-house Counsel, manager and/or Product Lead.
  • Review and maintain all documentation within employee relations document system, including notes, email communication, performance documentation, supporting documents, memos, and final reports
  • Coach leaders in the ongoing support and development of Rioters utilizing performance tools.
  • Interpret and apply understanding of Riot's practices, policies, and employment law to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for Rioter Relations inquiries. Ensure total compliance with all current and emerging labor laws.
  • Track, report, and analyze case trends and provide periodic reports to Talent Partners, and other Talent and senior leaders.
  • Conduct audits of existing HR practices and recommend areas that require attention or improvement.
