OpenX is seeking a Payroll Coordinator who is pro-active, self-directed and sets a high quality bar for themselves and their work product. Primary responsibilities include processing multi-state domestic and international payroll. The position will report to the Payroll Manager and will partner with the HR Department to ensure accurate end to end processing of payroll.

The Payroll Coordinator will have a prominent role in this fast-paced, high growth company to ensure accuracy with current payroll data, seek opportunities to create more efficient processes with a focus on excellent customer service. The Payroll Coordinator will also coordinate relationships with external vendors on system implementations, interfaces, upgrades and enhancements.

Specific responsibilities include:

o Prepare and process semi-monthly and monthly payroll function for 500+ employees, across five countries 

o Maintain and update timekeeping database for multi-state hourly time records

o Maintain employee data, handle employee questions and follow-up emails

o Compile required payroll data, including new hire on-boarding data and direct deposit information

o Distribute payroll

o Process manual checks for terminations and discrepancies

o Process stop payments and adjustments of payroll

o Maintain payroll control records and update payroll data

o Reconcile monthly benefit accounts to support monthly close and year-end ad hoc analysis

o Coordinate efficient process flows, with attention to accuracy and quality of customer service

o Ensure computing, withholding, and deductions are accurate 

o Knowledge of wage and hour laws for both federal and state jurisdictions

o Maintain accurate and complete employee records and payroll documentation

o Compile data and adhoc reporting with third party vendors 

Skills:

o Proficient with Workday preferred

o Must have 1-3 years of payroll experience

o Must have worked with a payroll size of 500+ employees, including multi-state and international

o Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity, Microsoft applications, and computer applications in general

o Payroll conversion experience is desired but not required

o Ability to maintain strict confidentiality a must
