Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

Lead Recruiters for Research and Development teams are responsible for designing overarching recruiting strategies for Riot's fledgling game teams. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding recruiting strategy as the small group you support matures into a production-level game-development organization. That means it's likely you'd both carry your own requisitions as well as manage and hire other recruiters while in this role, so long as you believe it's the appropriate strategy to fulfill the needs of your stakeholder teams.

You are:

  • Strong managers: You will be responsible for the hiring and development of others, and thus will need to come with a strong capacity to manage others, a fundamental skill set for giving and receiving feedback, and experience with onboarding, offboarding, training, etc.
  • Effective influencers: Your job will undoubtedly be challenging, and you will need to influence both candidates and hiring managers to produce positive outcomes.
  • Highly strategic: You will be asked to do a thousand things at once, and it'll be your job to figure out where and how to focus your limited time and energy.
  • Strong negotiators: You'll be helping negotiate offers for folks that come from highly competitive employers: it's imperative that you're effective at landing challenging offers in scenarios where candidates have a myriad of options.
  • Data-informed: You will be responsible for headcount planning and prognosticating hiring outcomes for the teams you support, and will thus need to be able to bring data-informed arguments for staffing plans and budgeting related to your work and teams.
  • Team oriented: You'll need to work with talent partners, finance, central recruiting teams, as well as a variety of Rioters that won't necessarily be part of the game team you will support.

You will:

  • Build sourcing/recruiting strategies for a multi-discipline game development team.
  • Work closely with peer leads to effectively resource and develop RC's and Recruiters across the business.
  • Build quality relationships with the internal customers and external recruitment agencies (if needed).
  • Ensure accurate data capture of recruiting output for your entire team, and report on both past outcomes as well as future capacity based on this data.
  • Hire, mentor and manage a recruiting team.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
