 The HR Policy & Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that The Trade Desk’s (TTD) HR policies and processes support our long-term business strategy and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. You will partner with human resources, legal, IT and functional leadership, internal/external auditors and internal/external counsel on compliance initiatives, processes and audits. You will be responsible for researching and monitoring HR compliance requirements and providing leadership on HR policies and compliance helping to formulate TTD’s long-term strategy.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Responsible for creating/revising/maintaining all HR-related policies (ex: Work from Home policy, Employee Handbook, etc). 
  • Responsible for ensuring HR policies and processes comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Partners with relevant HR function leaders and Legal to ensure compliance.
  • Research and monitor changes in HR compliance requirements and informs senior HR leadership of any changes requiring modification of company policies and processes.
  • You will be working on various aspects of compliance, including I-9 compliance, reasonable accommodation, and pre-employment background checking
  • Provides leadership on compliance and helps formulate the company’s long-term compliance risk mitigation strategies. Works with Legal, outside Counsel, and other departments on compliance-related issues and on any external audits conducted by government officials.
  • Collaborates with the Learning & Development department to ensure appropriate training is provided on compliance requirements as well as TTD’s compliance policies and processes. Oversees implementation of corrective action plans to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Works on ad hoc project teams to address any deficiencies in HR compliance identified and develop or modify policies and processes to ensure ongoing compliance.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business administration and/or HR
  • Minimum 6 years of HR experience, specifically in HR Policy & Compliance related role preferably in a global, adtech or high tech industry
  • Knowledge of SOX, privacy and other compliance protocols.
  • Experience writing various HR policies.
  • Exceptional project management skills, independent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple tasks and concurrent projects simultaneously.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
  • Ability to interface with all areas of business 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to details, multi-tasking abilities and team oriented
