We’re hiring a HR Generalist to manage the administration of all people-related processes throughout the employee life-cycle . With excellent working knowledge of HR best practices, you will also be a resource to employees and management with questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations. 

What you'll do

  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date with state and federal labor and employment laws; Develop and implement applicable policies and procedures to reduce HR compliance risk; Provide support in the interpretation and implementation of our HR policies and guidelines; Manage Flowspace’s employment records to ensure all data is complete and accurate.
  • Payroll & Finance: Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll; Update employee files including tracking paid time off and sick leave, benefit changes and expense reimbursements.
  • Hiring & Onboarding: Facilitate hiring process from start to finish including: fielding initial job requisitions, recruiting top talent, shortlisting and interviewing candidates, and making official offers; Manage the collection and documentation of new hire paperwork; Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. 
  • Employee Development & Retention: Support Leadership Team in the management and development of benefit programs including 401k, open enrollment, wellness and volunteer programs, and general training and education; Manage review calendar; Support leaders in facilitating bi-annual reviews.
  • Employee Relations & Offboarding: Facilitate the offboarding process; Conduct exit interviews; Field employee complaints, suggestions and questions; Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations for any serious employee relations issues that may arise.
  • Safety, Welfare & Facility Management: Support the safety program to manage fire and safety evacuation plans, and injury prevention training; Field health and safety concerns, making appropriate workplace accommodations as needed; Maintain the office space, planning for new hires and layout changes.
  • Company Events: Help plan and facilitate company-wide and team building events, field trips, and off-site meetings.

  • You have been successful at establishing trust and credibility at all levels of an organization.
  • You are a strong listener and an adept problem solver.
  • You feel at home in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • You are process oriented, but you love building meaningful relationships and being a part of a team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a human resources generalist role.
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent knowledge of best HR practices and industry standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality. 
  • Talent acquisition experience, ideally within a technical and creative environment. 
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM or other certification.
  • Skills & specialties include: Benefits & Compensation; Benefits Administration; Employee Relations; Full-Cycle Recruiting; Human Resources Information System (HRIS); Performance Management.
