The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for a broad range of administrative functions with a primary focus on efforts related to employee relations, onboarding/ offboarding, employee development and HR policies/procedures. She/he will offer guidance to decision-makers and leaders through the lens of HR. The HRBP will need to be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, depending on current needs in our quickly scaling work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer various HR plans and processes for the organization
  • Resolve front line employment related issues and concerns with discretion and confidentiality
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and assist in conducting orientation
  • Handle requests for new positions, promotions and job changes; assess hiring needs, assist with job description creation, determine competitive compensation, and ensure proper communication across the organization
  • Communicate personnel actions with our outsourced HR Partner; includes new hires, promotions, compensation increases, job changes, leaves of absence, terminations, and other requests ensuring all required information is obtained and actions steps are taken
  • Identify any HR-related risks and communicate with the appropriate leaders
  • Assist in launching and maintaining the Performance Management and Goal Setting platform; assist managers and staff with developing goals and utilizing the system
  • Contribute to establishing and populating a robust HR Intranet / repository of information for new and existing employees
  • Assist in managing HR initiatives and programs such as Women in Tech, Field Trip Onsites, Diversity and Inclusion, etc.
  • Contribute to creating, maintaining and updating HR communication and training materials/programs across the organization
  • Have a focus on delivering business outcomes by making the best use of the HR function and acting as a strong role-model for the rest of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Prior related HR Generalist experience
  • Ability to effectively interpret, maintain and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate judgment and discretion
  • Executive presence: resilience, consultative style, & ability to articulate complex ideas into simple terms
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated competence in supporting multiple projects simultaneously with a solid focus on results
  • Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute action plans
  • Strategic thinker who can see long-term goals and balance against short and intermediate-term needs
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • 4-year college degree (BS/BA) in Business/Human Resources, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required
