Bird is a last-mile electric vehicle sharing company dedicated to bringing safe, low-cost, environmentally-friendly transportation solutions to communities across the world. We provide a fleet of electric, shared scooters that can be accessed via smartphone. Bird is headquartered in Venice, California and is rapidly expanding across the country and the world.

We've grown from 10 to 600 people in the past 12 months across the US and EMEA. Amsterdam is our EMEA HQ and as we're expanding our Bird family rapidly there too we're looking for a HR Business partner who can grow with us. Someone who can create new process from scratch or take best practices from the US but can translate them to EMEA needs. An HR generalist with a deep interest and compassion for our people who can build, multi-task and optimise.

What You'll Do

  • Build relationships with the Head of EMEA and team members to support the team
  • Represent the Talent team in EMEA and ensure best practices and policies are consistent
  • Communicate regularly with the US Talent team
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the US Talent team to develop solutions, programs and policies that support business and employee growth
  • Navigate employee relations issues with an empathetic, solution-oriented approach
  • Ensure all new hires are properly on-boarded and have the equipment they need
  • Conduct exit interviews as needed
  • Be a strong resource and partner with the US Talent team on employment/labor laws across various EMEA countries for compliance
  • Works alongside Talent Partners to help drive action through a consultative approach in areas such as organizational design, promotions, talent assessment, and change management
  • Provide periodic audits of information systems records to ensure data accuracy

What You'll Need

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of human resources experience at a high-growth company
  • Deep knowledge and strong experience in employment/labor laws of multiple European countries (eg. - Netherlands, France, UK, etc)
  • A combination of HR experience in the following areas: compliance, benefits, performance management, culture, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, data analysis, and employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate through ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Superior communication skills
