About the Role:

Signal Sciences is seeking a Full Cycle Recruiter who is passionate and motivated to build best-in-class teams for a rapidly scaling startup in Culver City.  You will report to the Head of Operations and will be our first in-house recruiter. You will be responsible for strategically developing a recruitment and selection process that we will use to continue to attract the finest talent in Los Angeles. This position will be responsible for all aspects of sourcing the highest caliber candidates to fulfill positions across all functions, technical and creative. You will also be in charge of managing the entire recruitment process from initial contact to employee onboarding. Our team and company culture is already awesome, and now we need to get the word out to the masses that we are scaling our teams, fast and furious.  If you have excellent prioritization and organizational skills, the ability to self-manage and take initiative, are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done, and have a desire to work collaboratively with us to meet our hiring goals and help create a solid recruiting process, we want to hear from you, now!

Responsibilities Include:  

  • Set a strategy with Head of Operations for all recruiting and hiring needs
  • Own full-cycle recruiting efforts by sourcing active and passive candidates, screening candidate resumes, conducting phone screens, negotiate offers, and close candidates

  • Manage the inbound applicant pipeline, while identifying passive job seekers using a full range of recruitment tactics and resources.

  • Leverage all aspects of sourcing and candidate development including job posting, job board mining, internet sourcing, social networking, and employee referrals.

  • Recommend and implement everything from attracting candidates, building the right interviewing model, and educating managers on best hiring and interviewing practices

  • Ensure that candidates are moving through the interview process in a timely manner, that feedback is collected post-interview, and candidates are kept in the loop on status.

  • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position.

  • Manage employee onboarding process

  • Write complete and detailed job descriptions, more compelling than this one!

  • Evaluate opportunities to sponsor or host events and meet-ups to help get our name out there and create a passive hiring pipeline

  • Champion our company culture and values

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience in a startup or agency environment

  • A deep knowledge and understanding of all full life cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to: sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, closing, networking, assessing, job analysis, wage and salary trends.

  • Work well in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive approach to the work you do & interactions you have

  • Team player & collaborative approach to work

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute

  • Trustworthy with sensitive, confidential information

  • Knowledge of and experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • A competitive drive, strong work ethic and a high sense of urgency.

  • Proven background in using innovative research & sourcing methods to hire ‘hard to fill’ roles

  • Minimum BS/BA or equivalent strongly preferred
