The opportunity:

We are looking for a Benefits Manager to join our People team and help support our rapidly growing business. This position will be responsible for fully owning all aspects of our benefits nationally. This role works cross-functionally across the business and will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with senior leadership. 

What you'll do: 

  • Work with management team to understand and develop Clutter's long-term vision for employee benefits and build a long term benefits strategy and approach to new markets
  • Ensure that Clutter offers a competitive, yet cost-effective, benefits program compared to competitor companies by analyzing equity of current benefits compared to market trends and legislated requirements. Present recommendations for changes and enhancements to benefits offerings to management
  • Select and supervise necessary outside benefits consultants, brokers and necessary legal assistance
  • Coordinate all benefits related communications for the business and host relevant education sessions for both our employees in the field and in HQ
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations which affect employee benefits across our multi-state organization
  • Oversee the administration and monthly auditing of various employee benefit plans and employee contributions
  • Build a process to better automate employee benefit elections, ensuring that all enrollment and data translates to carriers in a timely, secure, and accurate manner

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-7 years of work experience in benefits administration, preferably at a high-growth business
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with brokers and select the best possible plans to benefit our diverse workforce
  • Additional knowledge around compensation strategy, band creation and career path strategy is a plus 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, HR Administration, or related field preferred); Master's Degree in HR-related field preferred
