The Associate Recruiter is responsible for supporting UMG's hiring process by screening resumes, building pipelines, sourcing candidates and supporting recruiters in their full cycle. The Associate Recruiter works with Recruiters to ensure hiring needs are understood and applicant expectations are met. Are you interested in a career in recruiting? Want to learn how to recruit? Job Functions:

  • Track and screen job applicants as assigned
    • Decline applicants that do not meet the minimum qualifications for the position
    • Check rehire eligibility for previous UMG employees
    • Create, send, and review pre-recorded video interviews and assess interest and qualifications of each applicant
    • Schedule and conduct prescreen interviews with qualified applicants
    • Provide qualified prescreened applicants to Recruiters
  • Proactively source candidates to identify potential matches in support of the Recruiter
  • Support with talent acquisition as well as intern recruiting
  • Support Recruiters in various areas within the full cycle as needed
  • Answer general employment questions from potential applicants
  • Respond to inquiries about applicant status and application flow
  • Develop relationships with candidates, ensuring each candidate has a positive recruiting experience with our organization
  • Assess active and passive pipelined candidates from internet databases, social media, contact lists, internal databases, job boards, and employee referrals.
  • Provide pre-qualified candidates who are the best match for the assigned positions
  • Work closely with recruiters to facilitate interview discussions
  • Update information in the Applicant Tracking System to ensure reporting is accurate
  • Provide ongoing updates and metrics to Talent Acquisition team members
  • Data entry and administrative projects as assigned
  • Assist all other positions within Talent Management as requested

Job Requirements:

Skills/Abilities:

  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Balance outbound & inbound phone calls, email communications, and detailed database entries
  • Read and accurately assess resumes for various job opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Qualify a high-quality pipeline of candidates
  • Build relationships with hiring managers and recruiters
  • Motivated and a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Customer Service attitude
  • Ability to function under pressure
  • Strong work ethic
  • Must be able to sit for 6-8 hours per day and travel across office campus

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System(s) is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
