The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR & Recruiting Coordinator to join our team at our South San Francisco fulfillment center. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role on our warehouse floor.
You will run high-volume hourly recruiting and support day-to-day HR operations, partnering closely with the Warehouse Manager, People Operations, and the Director of HR.

What You’ll Own1. Hourly Recruiting & Onboarding
  • High-Volume Sourcing: Manage the pipeline for warehouse roles (associates, returns specialists, temporary support) using our ATS, and keep candidate records accurate and current.

  • Screen & Conduct in-person screens to assess reliability, attitude, and fit, and coordinate interviews for the Warehouse Manager.

  • Scheduling: Coordinate interviews onsite and keep the process moving with short lag times.

  • Onboarding & Orientation: Lead weekly day-one orientations, set new hires up in our systems, deliver basic safety orientation, and welcome each new team member warmly.

2. HR & Compliance Support
  • Timekeeping & Attendance: Maintain accurate daily hourly timekeeping and attendance records and support break-schedule administration.

  • Records & documentation: Maintain organized, current employee files and standard workplace records as part of routine HR operations.

  • First-line employee support: Serve as a friendly, accessible point of contact for frontline staff on everyday HR questions (benefits, PTO, paychecks, policies).

  • Floor presence: Spend active time on the warehouse floor, close to the team you support.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in HR administration, recruiting, or operations support in a warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or hospitality environment.

  • Location: 100% on-site at our South San Francisco warehouse.

  • Language: English and Spanish strongly preferred

  • Attention to detail: You take pride in clean records, organized files, and tasks that stay on track.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Discipline: You hold a standard. You are comfortable saying no to a candidate who does not clear the bar, and you do not soften criteria under pressure to fill a shift.

  • Adaptability: A roll-up-your-sleeves startup mindset. You move easily from screening candidates to organizing records to walking the floor.

Why Join Us?
  • Growth: Learn the ropes of HR and recruiting in a highly successful, growing startup, with opportunities to fast-track your career.

  • Collaborative Team Environment: Partner closely with a supportive warehouse operations team that values your work.

  • Culture: A mission-driven company built on excellence, direct communication, and ownership.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
