POSITION PURPOSE:
The HR Manager supports the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team in delivering people-focused strategies that align with business objectives. This role will work closely with the Senior HRBP(s), employees, and across the HR team, providing day‑to‑day operational, analytical, and project-based support across the full HR lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, works with a strong sense of urgency, delivers insightful HR reporting that informs talent strategy, and brings exceptional attention to detail and organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Senior HRBP with end-to-end talent management tasks and projects including but not limited to workforce planning, talent reviews, job descriptions, employee performance, employee engagement, and organizational design.
- Prepare and maintain standardized documentation such as separation agreements, compensation letters, and HR templates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide first-line guidance to employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity, strengthen engagement, and support retention.
- Leverage opportunities to optimize HRBP team workflows and recommend improvements or efficiencies, including team use of AI.
- Support change management efforts related to new HR initiatives, tools, and processes.
- Assist Senior HRBP in managing confidential employee matters with discretion.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
- Uphold & ensure adherence to HR policies and programs, ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on labor law trends and regulatory changes to help mitigate legal risks and ensure compliant day-to-day HR practices.
- Support Senior HRBP in preparing materials for talent reviews, workforce planning, and leadership meetings.
- Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports and presentations with trend analyses on turnover, hiring, performance, engagement, and/or other key talent indicators, translating data into actionable insights for business leaders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years’ relevant HR experience, preferably with a lens on employee-facing roles.
ABOUT YOU:
- Excellent technical skills, including but not limited to HR reporting, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts) and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. For this role, bonus compensation may be a significant part of the total compensation. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $90,000 - $120,000.
