Working with the Human Resources Director, and in accordance with the established mission, policies, and procedures, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering HR activities for the Community.
This is a full time, onsite, position located in Woodland Hills, California.
Compensation: $33.00/hr to $36.25/hr, dependent upon experience.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Develops recruitment strategies ensuring qualified employees are recruited and hired in a cost effective and timely manner. Activities include maintaining Community’s career pages, keeping job postings current on websites, and developing other community relationships.

Conducts pre-screening activities including reviewing applications, telephone screening and in-person screening. Confers with hiring managers regarding candidates.

Conducts New Hire Orientation that fosters a positive first impression of the company. In addition, works with the Human Resources team to coordinate or manage activities which may include employee parties and other events.

Coordinates benefits enrollment activities – including updating HRIS as appropriate. Maintains company health/benefit enrollments. Reconciles monthly insurance bills and audits. Point of contact for employee benefit questions. Works with broker/vendors as appropriate.

Reviews and submits all Workers Compensation reports. Actively manages cases in collaboration with the HR, Safety, and Department Director to maintain required logs, prepare necessary reports, analyze injury logs, and submits recommendations to supervisors regarding areas of concern.?

Handles the full cycle of all employee leave of absences in collaboration with the HR Director.

Tracks and maintains certification, licensure, and work permit expirations and ensures all on file are current.

Completes exit documentation and processing for all terminated employees. Conducts exit interviews for front line staff and provides feedback to ED, HRD, and department heads.

Tracks employee evaluation dates and sends reminders to department heads.

May assist with employee relations issues with either employees or managers through effective communication and adherence to company policies and procedures. May consult with managers in the absence of the Human Resources Director.

May assist with the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures, projects and reports as needed. Works closely with director and other HR staff members on assigned projects.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
A minimum of three to five years human resources experience, preferably in a customer service environment.

Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal labor regulations, personnel administration, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting and selection, and training and development.

Excellent customer service skills. Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the Residents, other employees, and the public.

Computer proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Prior experience with HRIS, ATS, LMS, and other HR systems required.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field a plus.

HR Certification preferred.
