Join our dynamic team as an HR Generalist. You'll play a key role in building our foundation, working with cutting-edge technologies, and collaborating with leadership. This hands-on role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

We are seeking an operational, detail-oriented HR Generalist to partner directly with our HR Manager in scaling and supporting our workforce operations. In this high-impact role, you will be the operational engine behind our core HR processes—taking primary ownership of onboarding new hires, managing leave administration, and executing precise HR system data entry. If you thrive in a fast-paced tech environment and enjoy creating efficient, scalable people operations, this role offers a direct opportunity to shape our culture and employee experience. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

    • Own and streamline the end-to-end employee onboarding process, from pre-boarding logistics to leading new hire orientation.
    • Maintain complete accuracy of employee records, handling all daily HR data entry across our systems.
    • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to track headcount, generate HR metrics, and support reporting for leadership.
    • Ensure benefit enrollments are completed and reflected in appropriate systems.
    • Support the processing of payroll through timesheet and data entry validation in payroll system.  
    • Support the life cycle of talent acquisition, including scheduling.
    • Facilitate structured offboarding process and ensure seamless document completion.
    • Process the leave administration, ensuring full compliance with California labor laws and maintaining accurate leave documentation.
    • Work with the HR Manager to address employee relations inquiries and support training programs.
    • Assist in compensation reviews, job evaluations, and ongoing company policy updates.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related HR experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Hands-on experience with HR platforms (e.g., ADP, Workable) and high proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and auditing.
  • Working  knowledge of California employment regulations, multi-state compliance, and state-mandated leave programs.

Benefits

The expected annual salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000.

As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for Monarch’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

  • 160 paid time off (PTO) hours per year
  • 13 paid company holidays
  • 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off)
