Company Description

Axiado is building the future of AI powered digital infrastructure. We are a fast-growing, well funded silicon, systems, and solutions company pioneering a new category of semiconductor called the Trusted Control/Compute Unit (TCU) that combines advanced hardware security, AI driven resilience and efficiency, and real-time platform management. Our technology protects the world’s most critical infrastructure—from data centers to next generation cloud and AI platforms—by securing systems at the foundation levels of hardware, independent of host CPUs and operating systems.

Founded in 2019 and now over 150 employees are strong, Axiado has evolved into a recognized leader in the convergence of AI, security, and silicon innovation. We partner with and are actively engaged in commercial programs with multiple Tier 1 industry leaders, validating both our technology and our long-term market trajectory. Axiado has also won numerous industry awards for our ground-breaking products and technological innovations, including being named one of Fast Company’s 2025 Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Security, winning the 2025 Global InfoSec Award for Outstanding AI Security Solution, and being named a finalist for the Global Semiconductor Alliance’s 2025 “Start-Up to Watch” award.

At Axiado, developing breakthrough technology takes more than great engineering—it takes a team of exceptional people who collaborate boldly, challenge assumptions, and take pride in building what comes next. We value curiosity, execution, respect, and a shared desire to make a meaningful impact on the security and reliability of the digital world.

If you’re driven to innovate, energized by hard problems, and excited to help define the future of secure AI infrastructure, we invite you to apply and join us on this journey.

Job Description

Recruiting & Payroll Operations

· Own headcount planning reconciliation and pipeline reporting for executive leadership.

· Optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), automating hiring manager workflows and candidate communication templates.

· Manage global and domestic payroll vendors, acting as the escalation point for vendor service delivery issues.

· Administer comprehensive benefits programs, including voluntary benefits, health plans, and state/federal leave of absence (LOA) compliance.

· Oversee complex international payroll and equity compliance, including local tax withholding and stock option considerations for global employees.

HR Systems & HRIS Administration

· Serve as the primary system administrator for the company’s HRIS, managing performance management modules, time-off tracking, HR action workflows, and onboarding/offboarding automation.

· Lead global performance review cycles (self, manager, and multi-level calibration workflows) for a mid-sized, globally distributed workforce.

· Manage data integrity and migrations across the HR tech stack, including integrations between the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS, and global payroll platforms.

Global Employment Infrastructure & Compliance

· Oversee visa sponsorship support and immigration compliance, ensuring accurate job duty drafting, wage-level alignment, and coordination with external immigration counsel.

· Lead HR infrastructure setup for new and existing international entities, including drafting localized labor contracts, offer letters, internal work regulations, and data consent agreements aligned with regional labor laws and data privacy standards.

· Manage local legal counsel relationships to ensure compliance with country-specific statutory requirements (such as mandatory probation periods, localized social insurance programs, and statutory benefits).

· Evaluate and manage international payroll and Employer of Record (EOR) vendor relationships to ensure seamless global operations.

· Maintain audit-ready documentation for all corporate and employment compliance filings.

Employee Experience

· Draft and publish clear, employee-facing communications, handbooks, and benefits guides tailored to diverse regional audiences.

· Act as the primary point of contact for managers and employees regarding HR policies, systems navigation, and employee relations.

Qualifications

· 6-10+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a lean, fast-paced, or high-growth environment where you have operated with high autonomy.

· Hands-on experience with global/multi-country HR operations, with a strong preference for candidates who have managed operations across multiple international regions.

· Solid working knowledge of immigration and work visa processes, with experience partnering directly with external legal counsel.

· Strong HRIS administration experience (familiarity with modern, mid-to-enterprise level HRIS and ATS platforms).

· Proven track record of managing global payroll and third-party EOR/agency relationships.

· Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft polished policies, executive reports, and company-wide communications with minimal oversight.

· High comfort level with ambiguity and competing priorities; able to pivot smoothly between granular compliance work and high-level project management.

· Experience in the technology, engineering, or specialized technical sectors is highly preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
