This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role covers the full spectrum of human resources, from talent acquisition and employee relations to benefits administration and compliance. As a key member of the HR team, you will enjoy building strong internal relationships at all levels within Halo, and reinforcing our culture internally and externally. Key Responsibilities

  • As a trusted advisor to employees and managers, you will manage performance feedback processes, provide guidance on company policies and programs, and provide day-to-day support for ~100 employees
  • Develop and oversee initiatives to support employee engagement and development
  • Work closely with CHRO and hiring managers on full-cycle recruitment, from defining needs to interviewing candidates and onboarding new hires.
  • Oversee all pre-employment and onboarding processes
  • Utilitze ADP WFN to manage HRIS, providing reporting and metrics as needed. Partner internally to oversee payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with external partners to remain current and competitive with employee benefit programs
  • Support employee benefits education and communication efforts.
  • Manage HR compliance requirements, following regulatory, legal and other changes impacting the HR landscape
  • Assume a leadership role in identifying priorities and planning HR initiatives.
  • Mentor & guide other HR personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of broad HR experience, with proven recruitment expertise
  • Proactive problem-solver with the curiosity to uncover facts and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms required (ADP WFN experience is highly preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the desire and ability to engage effectively with candidates, employees, and managers
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Keen attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Sound business ethics and the ability to handle proprietary and confidential information with discretion

  • This is a Chicago-based hybrid role, working 3 days/week in Halo's downtown Chicago office.

  • Competitive compensation package: base salary of $65,000-$85,000, plus eligibility for variable compensation based on personal and business objectives. (Please note: Salary data is a general guideline. Halo’s salaries are based on candidate skills and experience.)
