Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support, guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals, HR Operations, training, employee relations management, headcount monitoring, performance management, career development, talent assessment, job acquisition, retention, workplace investigations and support clinic operations as appropriate.
  • Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to HR Business Partners
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of local labor law, policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
  • Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like performance management, HRIS tools usage, Salary Planning, New Employee Orientation and New Manager Assimilation etc.
  • Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary action
  • Serve as the Human Resources/Employee Resources Team subject matter expert for one HR specialty area (GME, Immigration, Staffing, Payroll/Benefits, etc.) including managing all complex and escalated cases as well as providing training and support to other team members at your site/region
  • Partner with HR COEs (e.g. C&B and Talent Acquisition) and O&TD professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies.
  • Lead assigned key HR processes including compensation planning, people operations and compliance.
  • Manage service delivery metrics and/or third-party supplier performance in relation to the assigned process(s) and provide recommendations to improve service quality and efficiency
  • Foster a culture of customer service excellence and continuous process improvement by providing “Best in Class” customer service and advise on complex questions/requests from employees, People Leaders, and HR partners
  • Responsible in coordinating pre-employment requirements and conducts on boarding process of newly hired employees, and on off-boarding process
  • Processes billings/payables for vendors to the company through the AP system
  • Ensure speedy resolution of employee concerns related to benefits administration, claims, hospitalization. Liaise with the group insurance providers for employee claims.
  • Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
  • Preparation of HR reporting & associated statistics and develop insights to support decision-making at a regional/global level
  • Lead other site-wide or region -wide HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups and HR teams.
  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resource practices are gained. Significant experience with HR Generalist responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development or performance management.
