We’re looking for a talented content writer to support graduate-level academic programs in Arts & Technology, Business, and related fields. This role emphasizes interview-based storytelling that connects academic programs to industry relevance, faculty expertise, and prospective student needs.

Scope and Duration

  • Commitment: 10 hours/week
  • Initial Contract: 6 months+, with opportunity for ongoing work

Key Responsibilities

  • Interview + Storytelling: Conduct interviews with faculty, students, and alumni, and transform their insights into compelling narratives.
  • Content Development: Write clear, accessible, and engaging content that highlights program benefits and real-world applications.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the client’s marketing team to refine tone, structure, and messaging.
  • Fact-Checking: Ensure accuracy when representing academic voices and industry contexts.
  • Content Strategy Support: Contribute to shared content formats while tailoring pieces to program-specific goals.
  • SEO Awareness: Incorporate standard SEO practices where relevant.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in higher ed writing, journalism, or brand storytelling
  • Strong record of narrative-driven, interview-based writing
  • Excellent research and editorial skills
  • Comfort interviewing academic and professional experts
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines independently
  • Bonus: Experience in higher education marketing, graduate programs, or university communications

Industry-Specific Expertise

  • Arts & Technology: Experience in creative tech, digital design, or interdisciplinary programs preferred
  • Business & Related Fields: Familiarity with graduate-level business or professional programs
