YOUR TEAM

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team supports a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment. This role is based in New York and contributes to local site operations while supporting broader HSE initiatives across the Americas region and global programs.

YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT

The HSE Associate supports the day-to-day delivery and continuous improvement of HSE programs, helping ensure HSE requirements are implemented consistently, risks are identified and addressed, and documentation and controls are maintained to support compliance and effective risk management.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support health and safety activities at the New York office, including ergonomic assessments and workplace evaluations.

  • Coordinate HSE initiatives, inspections, and site-level improvements with internal stakeholders.

  • Support CPR/AED, emergency preparedness, drills, and response programs.

  • Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.

  • Support compliance monitoring, audits, inspections, and documentation management.

  • Coordinate food safety inspections and maintain required HSE records and training documentation.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in HSE, Industrial Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of HSE experience, preferably in a corporate office or financial services environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with digital tools is an advantage.

  • Experience supporting multi-site or high-rise office environments is preferred.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$85,000.00 - USD$115,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
