About the role

We are redefining how User Acquisition (UA) works across our group. As Head of User Acquisition, you will lead a high-performance department delivering UA-as-a-Service to all our product teams. You will centralize operations, drive efficiencies, and establish a unified strategy across all paid traffic channels. You will also mentor and manage a distributed team of expert UA Managers across our portfolio, while acting as the key strategic and operational bridge between product, creative, and analytics. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for someone who thrives on scale, complexity, and data-driven execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead the centralized User Acquisition Department servicing multiple subscription products

  • Define and own the overall UA strategy across all platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.)

  • Develop scalable processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), testing frameworks, and reporting systems

  • Design UA OKRs/KPIs for both department-wide success and individual team members

  • Manage and mentor a team of cross-platform UA Managers embedded in different product teams

  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management processes across the UA function

  • Create a high-talent-density culture that fosters performance, collaboration, and growth

  • Oversee large-scale budget management across all platforms and products, ensuring efficient CAC and positive ROAS

  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans based on LTV:CAC ratios, retention, onboarding conversion, and ARPU

  • Partner with data science to create and refine advanced analytics and attribution models

  • Own the testing roadmap: A/B tests, geo-expansion, channel scaling, creative iteration

  • Collaborate with Managing Directors of each product to align UA strategies with business goals

  • Work closely with creative leads to guide ad production using data-driven creative briefs

  • Own vendor relationships with major advertising platforms / agencies and tools

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in performance marketing, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing UA at scale

  • Strong background in subscription-based D2C products, ideally across multiple verticals

  • Proven track record managing multi-million dollar monthly paid budgets

  • Highly organized, data and results-driven leader with experience directly managing and developing a team of at least 5–7 UA professionals. 

  • Deep platform knowledge: Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, Snapchat, and other paid social/search/display

  • Experience building and scaling teams, setting KPIs, and leading under a centralized structure

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with fluency in tools like Tableau, Google Analytics,, and Excel/SQL

  • Relentlessly driven, high-energy operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

  • Hands-on leader with a “first in, last out” mentality — always engaged, deeply involved, and fully accountable

  • Extremely high standards and low tolerance for poor execution — demands excellence across all levels of the team

  • Obsessed with performance, ROI, and rapid iteration — always pushing for better, faster, and more efficient results

  • Strong management instincts: knows how to hire, coach, and develop A-players while holding teams accountable

  • Commercially obsessed — understands that UA is a growth engine and thinks like a profit-focused entrepreneur

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
