What’s the role?

The US Business Director of Anterior Segment is responsible for working with the Head of OPT and the Head of SUR to help commercialize the strategic objectives as it relates to the US Anterior Segment Business.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  •  Casting a vision of success & strategic direction for the US Anterior Segment Sales team

  • Enrolling your team in the building and execution of strategic initiatives that support and aligned to the strategic priorities of the US OPT Business Unit

  • Defining the  Anterior Segment customer(s), the business plan & specific messaging to achieve the customer outcomes necessary to achieve the prioritized objectives

  • Identify business opportunities and initiate the steps necessary for further growth and optimization of the sales organization.

  • Developing a trusting relationship with the RD’s & their teams.  Provide oversight in the execution of all  Anterior Segment sales activities in the US

  • Translating commercial strategy into sales targets and forecasting (specific to Anterior Products)

  • Partner with SUR RDs & Head of OPT Sales to ensure the IOL Sales Team & CSRs are technically competent with IOLs & MiLoop/MiCOR and prepared for training, meetings, & product discussions and serve as the experts when advising surgeons and medical team on use of Anterior products

  • Ensuring effectiveness & efficiency in reconciliation and consignment with the IOL business

  • Providing monthly and quarterly reports to reflect operational effectiveness, and progress toward achieving Anterior  Segment targets

  • Organizing and initiating weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with direct reports

  • Work closely with Head of SUR sales in setting sales plans and deployment strategies

  • Work with the Head of Training to ensure that the teams have all the necessary training and resources to be successful in the field

  • Effectively communicate upstream with the Business units about inventory, product launches

  • Responsible for all business calls with HQ to ensure that the US market is working in collaboration with the Global Strategy

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelors Degree (Business, MBA is desirable)

  • Minimum 5+ years commercial sales experience

  • 3-5 years direct experience in Anterior Segment Sales

  • Highly agile, growth mindset & a relentless pursuit of success (achieving stretch targets, personal accountability & ownership of results

  • Experience modeling and advancing operational effectiveness with a solution orientation

  • Ability to teach, model, & coach the behavior of high performance including outstanding sales skills and results focus

  • Strength in relationship building, conflict management, influencing outcomes, inspiring trust, innovation & collaboration

  • Strategic leadership, decisive & practice, and operationally knowledgeable

  • Ability to identify, motivate, inspire & lead different behavioral styles of both internal & external customers

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

  • (If any, describes physically uncomfortable conditions, travel requirements, heavy lifting, etc., ref. ADA)

  • Requires 75-80% travel.

The annual pay range for this position is $132,000 - $165,000.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
  
This position is eligible for Sales Commission.
