Who we are

We're a leading, global security authority that's disrupting our own category.  Our encryption is trusted by the major ecommerce brands, the world's largest companies, the major cloud providers, entire country financial systems, entire internets of things and even down to the little things like surgically embedded pacemakers.  We help companies put trust - an abstract idea - to work. That's digital trust for the real world.

Job summary

At DigiCert, we’re on a mission to make the digital world safer for everyone. Our cybersecurity platform protects businesses from evolving threats, and we believe the path to rapid and scalable adoption lies in a world-class product-led growth strategy. We're looking for a visionary yet hands-on Head of Product-Led Growth (PLG) to drive growth from within the product — building acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization loops into the heart of our platform.

As the PLG Leader, you will define and drive the PLG strategy across our cybersecurity product suite. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, Data, and Engineering teams to build seamless, scalable experiences that convert users into champions and customers.

You will own and optimize the product journey to drive user acquisition, engagement, and expansion — creating measurable business impact with a security-savvy lens.

What you will do

  • PLG Strategy & Execution
    • Define and implement the PLG roadmap and KPIs aligned with product and business goals.
    • Build growth loops and self-serve onboarding experiences that accelerate product adoption and time to value.
    • Champion a “free-to-paid” journey that aligns with enterprise cybersecurity buying behaviors.
  • User Journey & Experience Optimization
    • Collaborate with UX and Product teams to create frictionless activation and conversion paths.
    • Develop and test in-product messaging, guides, tooltips, and A/B experiments.
  • Metrics & Analytics
    • Own product growth metrics: activation rate, engagement, retention, expansion, conversion, and CAC payback.
    • Work closely with analytics/data teams to define events, dashboards, and insights.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment across PLG and broader GTM strategy.
    • Influence product roadmap decisions with data-driven insights and user behavior analysis.
  • Customer-Centric Growth
    • Understand the cybersecurity buyer and user personas – from security engineers to CISOs.
    • Identify and reduce friction unique to security tooling adoption in modern organizations.

What you will have

  • 5+ years of experience in PLG, Growth Product Management, or Product roles in B2B SaaS companies — ideally in cybersecurity or developer-focused products.
  • Deep understanding of product-led principles, SaaS metrics, user acquisition funnels, and growth experimentation.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, Pendo, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and security-sensitive environment.

Nice to have

  • Bonus: Prior experience building or marketing products for cybersecurity professionals.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
