At ZoomInfo we encourage creativity, value innovation, demand teamwork, expect accountability and cherish results. If you are a take-charge, take-initiative, get-stuff-done individual we want to talk to you! We have high aspirations for the company and are looking for the right people to help fulfill the dream. We strive to continually improve every aspect of the company and use cutting-edge technologies and processes to delight our customers and rapidly increase revenues.

As the Head of People Analytics & Innovation, you will build and lead ZoomInfo's people analytics function from the ground up. Reporting to the SVP of Organizational Effectiveness, you will own the end-to-end analytics strategy for HR — designing and shipping AI-powered tools, predictive and prescriptive models, dashboards, and research that drive executive decision-making on talent, workforce planning, and employee experience. This is a hands-on, player-coach role: you will set the vision for what we build, write the code to build it, and hire and develop a small, high-impact team (2 ICs) to scale the function. The ideal candidate combines deep technical fluency (Python, statistics, SQL, AI/ML) with the strategic judgment to translate people data into business outcomes and the builder mentality to stand up new capabilities from scratch.

What you'll do:
  • Build and lead ZoomInfo's People Analytics & Innovation function, including hiring, developing, and managing two individual contributors
  • Define and execute the people analytics strategy and roadmap, translating HR and business priorities into a pipeline of high-impact analytics projects and AI-powered tools
  • Design and build custom AI tools, automation, and applications (using Python, MCPs, LLMs, and related technologies) that fundamentally improve how HR operates and makes decisions
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive models across workforce planning, attrition/retention, engagement, talent mobility, and employee experience
  • Create and maintain executive-ready dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that surface actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Own the design, deployment, and analysis of enterprise-wide qualitative instruments (e.g., employee surveys, pulse checks) and synthesize findings into strategic recommendations
  • Partner with HR leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-value analytical questions, scope projects, and deliver data-driven recommendations
  • Transform complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and presentations for executive audiences, including the ELT
  • Establish scalable data infrastructure, governance frameworks, and measurement processes that enable a self-service analytics culture over time
  • Stay current on emerging trends in people analytics, AI/ML, and HR technology — and proactively identify opportunities to apply them at ZoomInfo
  • Collaborate with global Compliance, Privacy, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure people analytics initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies
  • Partner with enterprise Data Engineering and Infrastructure teams to architect, test, and deploy analytics solutions and AI tools into production environments
  • Foster a team culture of experimentation, intellectual curiosity, and bias toward action
What you'll bring:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in people analytics, workforce analytics, HR data science, or a related quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience managing or leading an analytics team, including hiring, coaching, and developing talent
  • Demonstrated experience building AI/ML tools, applications, or automation from scratch in a professional setting (not just model training — full product delivery)
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with data manipulation, statistical modeling, and building production-grade scripts and applications
  • Experience working with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks (e.g., LLMs, GenAI APIs, MCP architecture, NLP)
  • Proven ability to design and execute enterprise survey programs and translate qualitative data into quantitative insights
  • Exceptional data storytelling skills — ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, executive-ready communications
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and analytics/BI tools (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Demonstrated track record of operating as a player-coach: setting strategy while personally delivering technical work
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, I/O Psychology, Economics, Computer Science, or related)
Preferred:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a quantitative, business, or social science field (e.g., I/O Psychology, Data Science, Statistics, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Computer Science)
  • Experience building a people analytics function or team from scratch
  • Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) architecture and building AI agent workflows
  • Experience with Workday RAAS reporting and Snowflake data environments
  • Background in building self-service analytics platforms or democratizing data access within an organization
  • Experience at a high-growth technology company or a company that has undergone significant organizational transformation

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
